DON'T DRINK THE COFFEE!!!

Sad to say, one of my close friends came close to committing financial suicide by sipping the Organ Gold brand. I immediately took her into my office and began the desensitization process. OG seems to go after the ones with no common sense, big dreams and limited education. Those little meetings inside the cheap hotels and shopping mall business rooms seems reminiscent of the Peoples Temple gathering.
One guy took to the podium in a recent undercover investigation and begin talking about all the fantasticals of the compensation plan and the coffee itself. You could see the poor people with stars in their eyes hoop and holler as though they were being swayed by Jesus Christ himself. If Jim Jones was still alive he would be at a Organo Gold meeting and tainting the coffee with false hopes and dreams, thereby killing the masses bank accounts with auto ships, seminars, fees, other fees, travel fees, material fees, fees, fees, fees.....
Tell me, why did you drink the coffee?

Youre not a real salesman. Salesmen dont talk like that, calling someone a fucking liar. A salesmen would use eloquence and real information to sway the other to their side. I can tell just by your word choices that you a terrible salesmen and would have no chance in a business like this to begin with. Work on your attitude.

People think that just by giving a little money to a company that they think will make money.
you gotta work. follow the steps of your mentors and learn to become rich at heart and spiritual.
people with negative thoughts are the the ones who don't want to see you succeed.
they think we are brain washed because we are opening our hearts to listen to an opportunity that if u work hard, you'll make it in life. if you say your gonna try it? you already closed of you mind to make it anywhere not just in this but in sports, working out, and living you own life then someone else.
organo gold is a great company, but its the people you work with. if you mentally hard headed then im sorry my friend. "Losers quit when they fail. Winners fail until they succeed." so when you caption what this is all about then you will open your eyes to what you can make it. its about the mentalaty you have. this business isnt for anyone. if its for you that do it for you. dont stop what your passion is all because a person says you cant.

  4. You know, in just reading these comments; it's interesting to me that the majority claiming it to be a "SCAM" are all financially based. Only briefly did I read anything about the product itself or the fact that the ganoderma placed in the coffee is not USDA Certified.

If it is USDA certified and I am wrong, then direct me to the label where it says so. I don't want to see the "100% Certified Organic Ganoderma" because obviously if there is no USDA certification label then it's not USDA certified therefore NOT 100% certified organic ganoderma.

Also, take a glace at the ingredients on the side of the bottles or boxes. You'll notice that E554 or Aluminium Silicate is also a suprise guest in the products. If you know nothing about that, consuming it could potentially cause placental problems in pregnancy and/or has been linked to Alzheimers.

You can find this infomation at:
    www.foodreactions.com
    www.foodfigures.com

So basically you'd be drinking/referring a product that is 1)not USDA certified and 2) contains traces of aluminium. Hmm..doesn't sound to healthy to me.

However, the main thing that gets to me is the lack of integrity where the leadership is concerned. Because basically most independent distributors have no clue whats going on. However, the leadership, the Bernie Chua's and the Shand Morands, and even the Holton Buggs, most definately knew if not had a hand in the creation of such a product.

The only person, and I do mean ONLY, who would not stand for such a lack of integrity was CO-FOUNDER OF ORGANO GOLD Jay Noland. Have you ever heard the truth calls? The calls where he describes in DETAIL how Organo Gold came into existence and how he was forced to build a seperate company because the integrity was breached. No?

    go to organogoldscam.org

Don't go for the malicious comments or for your personal entertainment. Listen to the calls and find out the truth from the only person involved with Organo Gold who's telling it like it is.

I am a man of research. I researched Organo Gold. I researched Ganoderma. I tried it. I loved it. I started my own distribution co. I took your advice and listened to all his calls and even went to his website ogheat.com. Not one time did he state or give evidence of this being a scam! All he stated that he had issues with Management. He focused on their integrity. But that leaves a BIG WINDOW of speculation! It could be that they had money issues regarding interest in the company, I don't know! But he did mention that he continues to drink the coffee, so its not related to the product. GOOD marketing for Organo Gold huh. "Organo Gold, even if your pissed off at the company and filing a law suite, you will still drink our coffee".. lmao ....I am going to save that one for my personal use. OG Family feel free to use it as well.

Have you seen the youtube videos were they flock around their new cars like they are in some kind of hip hop video? Or the inspirational messages followed by still shots of high end luxury stores? It's crazy. the whole entire thing is crazy.. these people want to become rich. they feel like that is their only out in life, it is sick and sad.

But through observing I came to realize that it is all true and now I'm on my way to being independently wealthy. Residuals are coming in and I have happy customers. Question for you, Are Starbucks or DunkinDonuts considered cult leaders?

Organo Gold is now a personal development cult in over the top way.
People are brainwashed into buying personal development books and listening to that "go beyond" song.
I joined in UK last Friday (25th March)and cancelled Sunday after seeing Danny Glover You-tube video. Something was not right for me.
I'm black but was not comfortable with Organo Gold business ethics.
People who were doing Ardyss in UK are now doing Organo Gold.
I've found a new mlm coffee company...not Gano Excel or Serenigy and joined.
Go past page 1 and 2 of google and you will find other mlm coffee companies out there!
Go beyond (stay clear) of Organo Gold.

I was involved in Organo Gold and it is indeed a scam and a pyramid scheme. However the racist undertones of many of the comments on the site takes away from the goal of the blog.

It sounds like the blog and the comments are written by a White dude who buys into a strong stereotype that blacks are thugs and suckers for get rich schemes. The tone is extremely condescending and people pick up on it easily

It is good that people are being warned against the evils of this product but the creator of the site is going about it the wrong way.

Also the fact that most of the comments that are anti-Organo Gold are written by the same person (this is extremely clear based on the writing style, choice of words and syntax), it also weakens the message.

This will inadvertently cause people who would otherwise pay heed to the warnings to disregard them - which would defeat the purpose of the site.

You would be better served by sticking to the facts and limiting the racist remarks and personal attacks. Also the attempts at "ebonics" are transparent and insulting. Again, posting factual statements about the cons of this company are better than trying to be colorful and insulting.

Pyramid scams are illegal. This business has been around for a few years now, so if it was a pyramid scam, it would have been shut down before now. If you think OG is a pyramid scam, look at your business...do you have a boss who is making more money than you? And are there people below you that don't make as much? If that doesn't show you something, look at a school....There's the principal, associate principal, activities director, secretaries, teachers, coaches, janitors, ect. That's also a pyramind, but just because it's a pyramid, it's not also a scam. If I wanted to, I could actually make more money that the person that is my sponsor in OG. So you're the one that is lying! Get your facts straight before you start blaming a company for you problems. Grow up.

I have family members in OrganoGold, and this whole thing scares me. One of my family members has always been a good Christian woman, but some of the things she says after attending one of their conferences or meetings just doesn't sound to me like anything that God would be telling His people! She doesn't seem like the same person, at all!

I've tried the product, with all of it's promises of curing this and that. I don't find that is worth the money, and also wonder why they are allowed to keep making the claims they do in their meetings without some real proof or medical facts. I suffer from a couple of conditions, and did give the product a try (not as a distributor, but just getting product from my family member), and saw NO improvement in any of my conditions. I did go to one of the meetings...didn't buy in, was just curious. All the people were standing up and talking about how this stuff cured what ailed them. One guy claimed he got off of his antidepressants...just quit taking them completely and felt he was cured by drinking the coffee and taking the pills! I found out later he had a major episode (through friends, as I was acquainted with this guy outside of OrganoGold) and the doctors had to put him on medication again to stabilize him. That guy has since stopped using the products, canceled his autoship, etc. He can't believe how irresponsible he was...he could have really hurt himself or someone else!

  9. Most of the food that we eat has traces of potentially deadly chemicals. The truth of the matter is in the microwave society that we live in people are all too willing to trade in health for convenience. In keeping with supplying what the population demands we do have a couple of blends that uses scilitate as a preservative. However we also have several types that use no preservatives or additives at all and for anyone that looks for products without additives and preservatives we do deliver, but the truth of the matter is most people just don't care. If people really cared every fast food joint in the country would go out of business!

If you can take a product like coffee that is generally very unhealthy for the body, but that people are going to drink anyway, and add an herb that helps make it even a little better for you, it is well worth its weight in Gold, because PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DRINK COFFEE ANYWAY!!! OG coffee is inexpensive, tastes very good and convenient to carry with you. Best of all though is my own personal experience. I was unable to drink coffee because of Lupus. The first time I tried OG coffee I receive immediate pain relief, WITHOUT KNOWING that the coffee was acclaimed for causing pain relief. I've had Lupus for 27 years and every time I drank regular coffee it would cause flare ups. I had also been taking up to 50 prescription pills per day to stay alive and manage pain. Thus because I didn't know about the ganoderma in the coffee, I was scared to death with the pain relief I got. But 18 months later I am 18 lbs lighter, sleeping through the night, off all medications (I was only taking two prescriptions when I started using OG) and just really feeling great. Further more I have made some very nice supplemental income building my OG team.

I don't know what happened with Jay Noland. It was his belief that got me to sign on as a distributor. I am sorry we lost him but the lawsuit with him has been settled and we have all moved on. I wish him and serenergy the best. Holton Bernie and Shane are incredible people. I personally had spent time with each of them. Most of the people these negative comments are spewing out regurgitated venom imparted to them by some spurned former rep. Meet them for yourself, use the product for yourself, and then make your comments based on wisdom and not conjecture.

  10. Laneen,

Those incredible people, (Bernie, Holton, Shane) are back stabbers with lack of integrity. Do you think Jay Noland WANTED to leave a company that he put together? That him and his wife stayed awake hours making sure that distributors like YOU had your product on time and also one that didn't taste like shit? No..He was locked out. By his partners because he was going to expose them.

Also, the lawsuit is not settled, which is why Jay Noland is STILL co-owner of OG.

I have tried the OG product. It was good. Until it was brought to my attention that it is not what it is claiming to be. What Bernie Chua and Shane Morand are claiming it to be. Which is 100% certified organic Ganoderma. With Aluminium in it? Were not just talking about any perservative. Were talking aluminium which in itself comes with health risks. So lets just all put a piece of metal in our bodies because OG says it's okay...

As for the money? Sure you can make money. However, try this..."Hello, I sell healthy coffee, it taste's great and has traces of metal inside that can be harmful to you. Also, I am not sure if there is 100% Organic Ganoderma in this coffee because I have not seen any certifications or any USDA certified labels meaning this Ganoderma is probably not all in there like our CEO Mr. Bernie Chua says it is."

Telling the truth about OG products probably wouldn't make you very much money, would it? So I understand turning the other cheek to deception as long as one still gets paid. Like I said..lack of integrity.

So, is it true that the FDA is investigating Organo Gold and that the company only has a bout two more years before it bails out on its reps? just curious, before I join. Why are some reps selling it for less on Amazon and Ebay? How come the company charges over $13 just for shipping a single box of coffee? So retail is $23 plus $13+ shipping, = $36. Are people really going to spend that much money on coffee? Someone explain these Q's. And exactly how many diamonds reps are there? I see the same faces on all videos. Thanks.

@Laneen...I have tried the coffee myself. I have a friend in the business who tried to get me to join. I went to one of their meetings that she invited me to. It was a little scary...I noticed someone above mentioned "cult"...and that is what it seemed like.

My friend gave me a couple of samples of the coffee. She came to me a few days later and asked if I tried the coffee and what I thought about it. I told her I wasn't to thrilled with the taste, but I was more of a tea drinker, anyway. She gave me a sample of the tea, but asked if I felt any better or more energized when I drank the coffee. I had to be honest...didn't really feel much of anything.

I tried the tea, which honestly, tasted terrible! I am very much a tea drinker, so I know about over brewing, under brewing, etc. I get an organic green tea from a local grocer that tastes amazing compared to this OG stuff.

I cannot see why this stuff is so expensive. $30 for a box of tea of 25 sachets? REALLY? The same amount of tea in the USDA Certified organic which I purchase bulk is only about $15 and tastes much better!

At the meeting, to sign up, they wanted me to fork over at least $200 to start up. Then, my friend tells me that it was highly encouraged that I sign up for an auto-ship program. I told her I would have to think about it over night...due to it being a good chunk of money. I was trying to be nice, because after seeing everyone at the meeting acting so strange, it was not something that I could see myself doing. The next day, I kindly told my friend no, but she still brings it up every now and then.

I have more energy and mental clarity than I did on any antidepressant or ADD medicine. The product speaks for itself. Before you take a persons word for something, try it for yourself. Tap ur head & say Is This Thing ON...?
I too believe in the products by OrganoGold my first hand experience (along w/my family members & friends) has been absolutley wonderful. You can't dispute that! If one is going to drink coffee, it just makes sense to drink a less toxic brand. Regular coffee is a liquid toxic addiction in a cup & most people drink it several times a day with no questions asked. So why soooo much hatered for a coffee that Has helped MANY!!! Even if there is no difference felt, it is still better to ingest the ganoderma ( no matter what amt) into one's body, instead of pure untreated poison of regular coffee.

A few other things that cannot be disputed are: OrganoGold is the 1st & only coffee co allowed into the country of Jamaica. They have the first ever, exclusive strategic collaboration with the Napoleon Hill Foundation. Both of these speaks volumes about this company to me.

There can be good & bad found in any & everything. Especially if one looks long and hard enough. Try seeing the good where you can and invest more energy in that direction. So what if a group of people find any type of pleasure, delight or entertainment in a knighting ceremony. To each his own - what's it to you? We all have some sort of shortcoming. It would behoove us all to spend more time & energy improving ourselves. In whatever way we each see fit; instead of trying to bring down others. I mean, what's the use. Do you feel superior by pointing out what you think is a negative behavior in others? Shame on you all! It's your thing, just go do what you what to & leave everyone to make decisions for themselves.
Just because someone doesn't do what You think they should, the way You think they should - Doesn't mean it is something wrong with their decisions.

I pray for people with closed minds to increase in knowledge & starve the gap of ignorance forever.

  17. The products are not what the company is claiming them to be. And personally, I'd rather drink an acidic coffee than drink a coffee that has aluminium in it. Metal just doesn't taste that great to me anyway! Also, if the OrganoGold company is going to tell me that the ganoderma is 100% organic and IT'S NOT..Im sorry but that to me is a HUGE deal. Be the effects of the coffee what they may.
Average people now a days are so blindly loyal that they don't realize when they are being lied to and made a fool of.

It scares me that there are people out there that put so much faith in this stuff that they come off their prescription meds! A very close friend of mine came off her prescription meds...saying that by drinking this coffee and taking the spores, she felt better than she had in years. When she crashed, she crashed hard...ended up in the hospital, and is now back on all of her meds.

Concerned about all the chemicals out there? Just do your research and eat a healthy, truly organic diet! I've looked at the list of ingredients on the coffee...all kinds of stuff that I can't even pronounce, and the ganoderma is dead last on the list (meaning it is the ingredient that has the lowest content in the product). How is that healthy?

  20. Actually above reader, the problem is both. Perhaps you are right. Perhaps I don't know the 100% truth about the ganoderma being 100% organic. HOWEVER, the FACT that the USDA certified organic label is not found anywhere on the boxes speaks VERY LOUDLY that the herb is not 100%. Secondly, do some research. Which is what my opinions are solely based on, RESEARCH. There is aluminium in the products. Harmful aluminium. Nothing personal here my friend simply stating opinions and FACTS.

Can someone make money marketing a faulty product? Absolutely. I am not discrediting anyone but the products. The products is whats messed up here. It's called, "DONT BE AN IDIOT AND RESEARCH THE PRODUCT YOU ARE MARKETING" If that makes me a discreditor than so be it. It also seems like there is a lot of information on this blog that many distributors of Organo Gold did not know about, so perhaps this is the answers to those prayer that they have so rightfully sought out. Again, research my friends...it's all in the research.

  21. I just came from a meeting that they just had & I got to be honest it sounds good, but everything sounds good the first time you hear it so I agree with Sarah research is the key to knowing what you dont. Common sense is also the key @ the meeting they give you three plan options $200 for 9 boxes & 50% of the profits, $500 for 21 boxes & 80%, $1300 for 53 boxes & 100% & each box sell for $30 do the math I did & I dont see much profit & thats bad business.

I'm not in the business, but was using the product after a family member touted all of the benefits. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, so I used the spore capsules. I took the capsules, as directed (which is rather expensive, mind you) for several months, and saw no improvement in my estrogen dominance or my hypothyroid. One thing I did notice was that my skin got very itchy. At first I thought it was the cold weather and dry skin. I ran out of my capsules before my order came in, so was not taking the product for about a week. When the capsules came in and I started taking it again, I noticed that the itching actually started to subside the week I did not take the capsules, and yet it was back again in full force! So, I've stopped taking the product all together, and the itching is slowly going away as the product is getting out of my system...figure it will still take several days. I was reading today on the web that this is a possible side effect of ganoderma, yet, there is no mention of this anywhere on the bottle, and my friend kept assuring me that it couldn't have been the ganoderma, because it is completely safe with NO side effects. Seems to me that this is something that should be mentioned. Not to mention, I really haven't experienced any improvement in my health conditions. I've resorted to other alternatives for my estrogen dominance and hypothyroid issues, as I pray this ganoderma leaves my system soon and I stop itching!

And to a previous poster...I'm not hating. I saw no benefit from the product at all. I kinda feel ripped off at this point...high price, no benefit, and the terrible itch! There really should be warnings on the label about this and some of the other potential side effects I've read about (which I found at what I feel is a reputable source...http://www.livestrong.com/article/166259-ganoderma-risks/).

Wow...now it all makes sense. Since I've been drinking the coffee, my back broke out in some tiny bumps and it itches like crazy at night. I did suspect it could be the coffee, since that was the only change I had recently made to anything in my life. I did also hear that initially you may have a reaction due to it detoxifying your system. I too have some health issues and have seen nor felt any changes other than the itching. My husband is tired of scratching my back every night, it has become a ritual before bedtime. Even worse is that I was swayed into joining at the gold level ($1,300 plan) and it took about 6 weeks to receive my shipment of coffee (not 5-7 days). I am really ashamed that I did not do my research first, buying into the hype so quickly. I guess I will just have to chalk it up as a very costly learning lesson, in order to move on without beating myself up.

Thank you Sandra...you took the words right out of my mouth. The team that swayed me into joining used God a lot in their testimony, and I truly believe that is why I felt so comfortable joining without doing my homework. They really play off the "God thing". After I was in, I realized that that was just a tactic, or who knows, maybe they believe it, but I heard and saw things that I know are not of God. I think they better realize that the Bible says, "To whom much is given, much is expected". Not cool!

That's great for you, but for those of us with some integrity, it's about more than just money and driving a black Benz, it's about morals and standards as well. Yes, cigarettes and even alcohol kill, but that is a well known fact and up to the individual of they want to take that chance. I don't see any of them making claims that it is healthy and organic and asking me to pay big bucks to join and sell it to others. Know this..."all money ain't good money". If it works for you great, but at the end of the day I have to feel good about myself and responsible for what I do to others.

      What a hilarious comment.
In life there are ONLY 2 types of people. LEADERS and followers.
The Leaders DO while the followers, wish they could do. When the followers see the DOers Doing and Earning what they WISH they could. They resort to Hating and Name Calling.
The Truth is that OG is a great Company but MOST people Can't do the business because their mind has been conditioned to not accept Greatness. They have been conditioned for MEDIOCRITY.
That's why in any MLM company a good leader will TEACH its downline how to RE_PROGRAM their limited mental beliefs...If the upline is not equipped to do so, we can help ourselves as well by listening in on conference calls, the problem is that most people are not willing to put any effort forward, then they come to these blogs to post negative comments, when in reality it was their own FAULT...
      That's really the bottom line.
Thats why some people will join and never do anything, and it doesn't matter what company they join.
If you joined a company and didn't make it, don't blame anyone but yourself.

My cuz has been at me for weeks to join, But, I decided to do some due diligence. And research this company more. While there are success stories they all seem eerily similar. By no means am I hating on those who have found success with this. But, if you are going to sale a product you should all you can about it before doing so. And I mean don't learning all you can from these so called Diamonds, Blue Sapphires, and Rubys and such. Do you own homework you maybe surprised at what you may find. And Anonymous 5/28/2012 RE-PROGRAM is another term for BRAINWASHING...............

How is it that I keep hearing from my family member that Organo Gold is full of all these good, Christian people, yet I see so much materialistic talk and outright hate coming from some of the folks here in support of Organo Gold? I actually find it surprising that not one of these folks even addressed my very real side-effect from the product!!! A week off of the capsules, and the all over itching has finally completely stopped. I had been suffering from the itching for MONTHS! Haven't changed anything else...no changes in soaps or lotions...just stopped taking the capsules.

There really does need to be a disclaimer of potential side effects.

BTW...I am a Christian, and the gospel I'm taught is that God wants to bless us so that we may bless others...not go buy huge, gas-guzzling cars or any other vain materialistic items. Sure, dress nice, live in a nice home, and drive a nice car, but don't show off, and put what money you may be earning to good use doing God's work! Listening to my family member, all the dreaming talked about in these meetings target things like, "What is your dream car?" What about asking questions like, "What is one thing would dream of doing for someone else in the world if only you had the money to do so?" Me, if I had the kind of money that Organo Gold promises, I would want to do something crazy like buying laptops for a bunch of underprivileged children...not overseas...but right here where I live. Give some kids a chance to break the cycle of living in poverty that their family has been stuck in, and give them the chance to make something of themselves! That, to me, is way more important and more along the lines of doing God's work than buying a Range Rover!

I am shocked that my family member actually got upset with my when I informed her that I would not be buying any more product after determining that my itching reaction was related to the ganoderma in the Organo Gold! How can she be so upset that I had a reaction? I was not rude about it...I simply told her, "I had to stop using the Organo Gold products because it turned out I was having an allergic reaction to them." Not to mention, I received no health benefits, but I said nothing about this to her. Not all supplements work the same on all people. Penicillin is a great antibiotic for me...miracle drug almost when I get sick, but I also know that there are others out there who could die if they take it. How could an organization brainwash my family member so much that she would be more concerned about me buying product than my well-being? Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

Excuse me but I am distributor for the OG company. And yes it is certified by the USDA, it is also certified by 5 other company's around the world. I also believe the product works. My daughter has severe eczema and I have been using the soap infused with the Ganoderma along side the hot cocoa we sell and her skin has completely cleared up. And that is the only thing I have changed in her diet. To the people who think it's a cult....Think what you want. We knight and crown people for their efforts to make the world a better and healthier place. Last I checked it's really no different then someone receiving a promotion or a bonus for their work, we just like to have more fun with it. And as far as targeting people who have no common sense, who are livin in hotel rooms and are poor? You couldn't be more wrong. There are plenty of people in the company who had jobs that were making them anywhere from 40-80 grand a year and they were just doin this on the side. But then it became something that was making more money then they had ever seen working for a corporation, plus gave them the opportunity to make a difference in other peoples lives. And the people who got into the company but then got out cause they felt it was a scam....You just didn't work hard enough. And I really do feel pity for all you people who have to live your life puttin things down just because you don't understand or are jealous of the fact that the people around you are going to make a difference in this world and you're not cause you just sit on your computer bashing people.

To the person who had am allergic reaction.....sorry for you're suffering but we never said that the product is for everyone. And I apologize again for whats about to be said. You're one person in a world that has over 6 billion people in it. Not everyone is going to have an allergic reaction like you did. You also are saying how disappointed you are by the people who are doing all this christian talk on here yet no one addressed you're situation....well whining and going "look at me, look at me" isn't very christian either is it? Just because you, the one person in 6 billion, had an allergic reaction doesn't mean the product is a scam. it just means that you're one of the few people who aren't going to be use the product. So please use some common sense before you go around bashing things like that.

Organo Gold is a business that attracts people with promises of quick cash. They also promise wellness with their products. I sold some to a very good friend and not only did it not take care of her issues, her blood pressure became so elevated, her doctor was concerned. After reviewing what she was taking, he told her not to take them any more. When I spoke to my sponsor about it, they told me that this was part of the process, that sometimes people will get elevated blood pressure and they should keep taking it until it stops. I would not go back to my friend and tell her that - she almost had a very bad episode. She was not the first near catastrophe. I cancelled my autoship and will be cancelling my membership. I am in the business to help, not hurt people. For some, it is about the money. I talked to an older gentleman recently because he had a table at an event. He told me that he was there trying to sell the coffee because he was in debt. He was convinced to buy the $1295 package, and he did. He was also told he needed to buy some additional packages (higher than the case per month - approx. $500), but his upline was trying to promote and they told everyone to do everything they could to help with that. He was asked to spend $800.00 to help with this promotion. Now he is stuck with coffee and debt. He is not sure how he is going to get out of his situation. I wished him luck. I think it is wrong when people take advantage of seniors, and because most people are concerned about their future, they buy into this get rich quick scheme. It's a sad day when you have to hurt people to make a dollar. For those who say they are doing well in OG, and trying to convince new people or current reps to get on board - be honest for once. If people coming in were not convinced that they needed to spend all of this money to get in, you would not be making the money. You can only convince so many people - and then what happens when the poor people looking for a way out run out. This is a shame. No more MLM's for me. "Most Lose Money"

MLM = Most Lose Money - Now that is funny! I agree. I had some bad experiences and felt bad for people that I convinced to come into this thing. They lost money, and one person ended up in the hospital after taking the spores. High Blood Pressure. Found out after looking up the address on the bottle that the spores are made in someone's house. I reported it to the authorities in my area, and the FDA. No more pill mills.

Just make sure you really read the fine print, and ask the questions to make sure that the company is for you. Allergic reactions? High blood pressure? Scary stuff! Went to one of those "jazz mixers" for a friend, and was kinda freaked out! Some of the comments here about this thing being a cult...I can easily see how one can get that impression. My friend is so obsessed with the whole deal! Every conversation turns to coffee when she is around...ANY ailment a person may have, and she starts pushing the coffee and the spores. It scares me that these people are NOT medical professionals, and are trying to push this on people as a medical cure all. Then, you have situations like some of the posters here...high blood pressure, allergic reactions...these are things you do NOT mess with? "Part of the process"...are you kidding me? I am somewhat of a health fanatic, which is probably why my friend invited me. This stuff concerns me...there is NO USDA Certification on this stuff, though it claims to be organic...the coffee is INSTANT which screams processed. My friend still tries to "sell" me on the stuff, but I truly could not sell this stuff and keep my conscience, especially after reading some of the stuff here!

I haven't talked to any doctors about the coffee...don't trust most of them as far as I can throw them! Doctors have been known to prescribe a lot of things that did more harm than good.

I am a believer in alternative medicine...which, if this stuff didn't send up red flags for me, I would support fully. However, in looking at the ingredients, red flags went up! Did you know that there is MSG in this stuff...at least in the Mocha? Here is a nice little article on the harms MSG can cause: http://www.healthy-foods-lifestyle.com/monosodium-glutamate.html. And seeing as it is higher on the list than the ganoderma, that means there is MORE MSG in this stuff than those "healthy" mushrooms...more harm than good.

There are all kinds of things out there in our food supply that is not good for us that the government has not stopped! MSG, BHA (causes cancer), BHT (also causes cancer), high levels of sodium, etc. The list goes on and on with things that are allowed in our food supply which the government allows! These things are sold to the public labeled as preservatives and flavor enhancers! The FDA is NOT out to protect the people! This has proven itself many, many times with fast tracked drugs that the FDA approved and that caused harm to people, and they were only pulled from shelves when lawsuits were filed.

You would lose that bet! Organic green tea is a natural antihistamine, which I drink every day. Thyme is a natural decongestant, which I mix with my green tea when needed. Ginger has been doing a great job as a natural anti-inflammatory for me for some time now. I could go on and on with my list of things I use instead of OTC or prescription medicines! Don't drink Starbucks, either...don't use artificial sweeteners...don't drink any sodas.

My point is, if you are going to call something organic and healthy, you need to keep it free from chemicals. Give me a good reason for MSG being in the coffee? Sodium Caseinate = MSG...look it up! This is in the "non-dairy creamer" in the latte, along with a bunch of other nasty things! Sugar is the first ingredient, then this non-dairy creamer...finally instant coffee and lastly ganoderma!

There isn't even a list of ingredients for the tea, yet the tea supposedly has calories? No tea I have ever had had a caloric value until you add sugar, honey, etc...so what has been added to the tea to give it a caloric value?

People have the right to question the ingredients in the products offered to them, and that is all I'm doing! Call it hating...call it what you want.

I know a guy who is very much into Organo Gold. It is like he is obsessed with trying to get rich. He has been in business for about a year and I do not think he is seeing much profit. He had to take out a loan to pay his bills. He only sold 2 boxes of coffee last month.

The people of OG has brainwashed him. This guy thinks he is going to make enough money to quit his full-time job. With this economy, in the area I live in people can not afford to buy a $30 box of coffee. He is having a hard time getting people to sign on. It is to the point that when he calls these people they do not answer the phone. They don't want to be bothered and can't afford the coffee

Yet he keeps on calling them. After awhile people are going to get fed up and end up cussing him out. OG may work in big cities and towns. But not in our area. I hate to think OG officials are giving people false hope. But to those of you that are successful...God bless you.

Fact is, it is all about who you can con/attract/swindle into buying into this notion to help you get rich. The guy who was touting this product last night was NOT driving a BMW - which is the very LEAST I expected. So how long would it take to get rich? Should I quit my day job now or what? I've sold Kirby vacuums and threw dirt on people's carpet to get into their house...there is no way anybody will get me to go anywhere near that kinda madness again! More power to all those who are millionaires from this....some of us just weren't born to be.

  65. Holton Buggs is a rat and rats run in packs, you do the math. E2tv, Big Smart, CyerWise are all ventures that Holton or his rat pack were in together. None lasted, none made anyone wealthy but the few at the top and their relatives. They all disbanded, were sued, or/and were prosecuted. So Organo Gold is the lastest of their "get rich quick schemes". Pretty soon when they have milked the cow dry this too will disappear without warning and the downline will be left holding the bag.

The blogger's questions was why did you drink the coffee? A friend who had just gotten in the programme wanted me to buy it. No, thanks. Then she gave me a box for free. Took it to be polite because she really is a nice lady. Tasted like crap. It had instant creamer in it which I happen to know can be set on fire with a match. Not something I wanted to ingest. I had two cups and gave up.

Its Instant Coffee!!! Everyone i know wants brewed coffee. Its not a scam per se but its is structured as a pyramid level pay scale. To all that have found success Congrats!!!! Wasn't working for me so i discontinued the business. After attending a business forum last week, a panelist was asked about Organo Gold and she replied "I don't recommend multi-level marketing as a sustainable business model unless you are at or near the top of the pyramid." The rest of panel agreed. BTW everyone on that panel are multi-millionaires from businesses they developed.

My Opinion is that the product works for people differently..
Like one helping people get off their medication that they have been on for years...
Another it can help People stay up and for others maybe it would even help them go to sleep...
Not everyone Is the same, so not everyone is going to react the same to it...
Oh and also their isn't so many people that is diamond because there is people that take it more SERIOUSLY than others do:..

I just started this business 2 days ago. I didn't do any research on this product which I know I should have. I don't want to be a part of a business that is putting out products that is harmful to anyones health. I don't want any part of that. After reading some of the comments here it is making me very suspicious of this products because I don't want anyone getting ill. I have not sold any of the products just gave out samples. I only ask people to try it and if they like it then tell me. I never say it is good for your health because I'm not in the medical field and I have not been informed of this by the Surgeron General. I will do further research on this product for my own satisfaction before I attempt sell any of these products.

I have looked all over the place and have been researching this for awhile, there are a ton of negative comments about Organo Gold out there and how it is a company that will go away within the next year. I disagree, but we are all allowed to have our own opinions.
I do know that currently Organo Gold has multiple certifications of being 100% Certified Organic. If you visit their website you will see these certifications, and can research with the individual organizations that do those certifications and will find that Organo Gold is listed on their records.
When I was introduced to the company and their products, I was completely skeptical! To begin I am not a coffee drinker and have never been interested in drinking coffee. If you do your homework, and I emplore you to do so, you will find that there are many companies that offer Ganoderma in their products. If you choose to join one of those companies GREAT, if you choose Organo Gold, that too is wonderful. I personally have done my research and made my choice. Unfortunately for so many they think of MLM as "Pyramid Scheme" or other negative name simply because it does not work for everyone, and people going in to the presentation with a "Get rich quick" mindset will almost always fail. Multi level Marketing is not much different then corporate America, take the typical corporation there is a CEO at top beneath him there are 2-3 people, below them there are upper management, below them you have middle management, below that you have lower management, below that you have team leaders, and finally you have your entry level people. Each level grows exponentially from the next and the ability for advancement is stifled by the rapid number of people constantly flooding the market. So there is not that much difference between that and the layout of MLM, oh that is except in MLM you can grow your business as big as you want, and you will only grow your business by doing the work.

With ANY Network Marketing business I would recommend that you do your homework, and know that to succeed at anything you will have to do the work to reap the rewards. If you are faced with the potential of being introduced to an MLM opportunity you should take the time to make sure it is something that you are willing to work at. If you are not selling an actual product or service that is when you are faced with the possibility of it being a "Pyramid Scheme" because to truly have any business, you have to have a marketable product or service. If you have any questions about MLM or the company that you are looking at, talk to the person referring you to that company. If they can't answer them for you, then find someone that can or walk away. As far as Organo Gold, I like the company, came in knowing that to succeed I would have to the work, I have not "got rich quick", the personal growth has been phenominal, and I am honored to be associated with some amazing people, but that is just MY PERSONAL OPINION!

If you look closely on the internet, all the institutions (FDA, USDA, ect) have asked OG to STOP using their tags BECAUSE THEIR PRODUCT COULDNT BE CERTIFIED !!! get real seriously, as far as i am aware most of the representatives don't get any suffisient training regarding into medical interactions and all, and, ive been recently diagnosted with ADTH and, seriously was i was proposed by them is to eat a capsule wich they dont know the exact containt in it and ive hear on last time 2.5mg/caps, BUT IT TAKES 1200MG/DAY to have a proper dose !!!! It is a scam if you can'T put numbers on your product and attest it has this much of it in it.... I'm corrently studying in nursing in Canada and most of my patients that are telling me they are taking those things... I tell them to stop because, many of them are getting on Warfarine and such and its been proven that the coffee is interacting with this medication.. As well, for those who say they are losing weight i have something for you IT IS A DIURETIC meaning you are not absorbing water and other essential nutrients as you should because your system is flushing it quite fast ! Stop stop blabbering about miracle coffee because it is NOT REAL !!!

I am amazed at the comments I see on here saying that Organo Gold is a scam and a cult. Really people? No one is brainwashing anybody. The last time I checked Organo Gold has several certifications stating that what's they say is in it, is actually in it. I do not believe there would have been millions of dollars invested in this product for it to be a scam. I also do not believe the USDA, ECOCERT, Kosher and all the other agencies would have given these certifications if they did not deem it worthy. It just amazes me that people are so quick to take a pharmaceutical drug made by man instead of something that comes from the earth. As far as people on anti-depressants, I feel like they don't need them anyway, it's just another excuse to put crap in our bodies that we know nothing about.

Dido! That is what I hane told a few people; that the drugs (prescription) has more side effects then you can count. And if they knew the ingredients or the chemical make-up of the drugs they would be speechless. When they say that have to check with their doctor before taking the capsules - I tell them that their physician is not going to recommend it.

thats a good point lets look at prescription drugs they are aproved by companys like the USDA and FDA, the same types of companies that aproved organo gold as all you reps say that this product has been aproved then you diss the prescription drugs saying they have bad side effects just all seems way to fishy to me. just because they have been deemed "safe for human consumption" doesnt mean it is. and the coffee tastes like crap im still gonna drink my tim hortons brand

I agree with Mar 27, 2012 10:07 AM, some medications have some bad effects but, it has to have some side effects to use the benefits of it, and if the risks would have been too big for this medication to be taken then it would be on the market. And from what i am aware of, OG coffee, moka, latte or whatever it is tastes like shit.... A member of my family tried to have me in it but as a student nurse I cant do it because from what i see now, the company would want me to sold this to my patients/collegues and I dont want to do that wwe have soooo much more and so much teaching to do regarding natural product.... Seriously everyone... get real...

So in other words, you're making assumptions about how the coffee tastes without ever having tasted it yourself, AND you're assuming that in order to try it, you first have to become a distributor and sell it to patients at your place of business? Oh my, where do I even start ...

#1. If you asked me how mayonnaise tastes, I'd tell you it tastes like crap because I don't like mayonnaise. Does that mean you shouldn't buy Miracle Whip? Of course not, taste is extremely subjective, and only you can decide for yourself whether it tastes good or not. Also, most people tend to use way too much water when making the coffee, which will make ANYONE think it tastes like crap. But the company sold $147 million (at the wholesale prices, not the $30/box), so apparently someone somewhere is drinking this stuff...

#2. You don't have to sell the coffee to drink it. We would be considered an illicit pyramid scheme if that were the case, and an incredibly stupid business model besides. You can just be a customer - or God forbid - even just try the coffee, preferably mixed with the correct amount of hot water (3/4 a cup, just like most other instant coffees).

#3. Most of us teach that when you're on your employer's time, you do your employer's work, not OG. We'd never advise anyone to sell to their employers patients; the potential for conflict of interest, or worse for giving inappropriate medical advice would far outweigh the few dollars you might make trying to sell them coffee. I personally don't know anyone who'd even dream of suggesting that. If you did decide to pursue the business opportunity, we'd recommend find people to sell to who actually want to buy from you and aren't likely to sue your employer (and you) in the process. But again, as I said, you don't have to sell the coffee. You could just drink it.

Finally, I'll leave you with this: do a PubMed search on Ganoderma, and see what comes up. My girlfriend is a physician, and when she found out about OG, she did this. She subsequently became a loyal OG customer. And she's someone who typically can't drink coffee on days she's working because she is a surgeon and the caffeine makes her hands jittery.

SERIOUSLY I almost joined today! gave him all the information and then backed out at the last minute.. I really want to join.. my family has been through a lot of struggle this past year and i don't want to make it worse by throwing my money in the toilet when i could have helped my parents out.

Im not a small minded person.. I will be successful no matter what! with OG or without it.. However, i want to join but i really feel pressured into this. Is OG selling coffee or selling businesses or selling people's dreams? just seems to me that the focus is on me getting people to join not selling the coffee... i havent even officially joined and im already on the phone trying to get people to join.. I really want to be a part of this if it is a real opportunity and i can succeed.. because if i do the OG world will not be the same once im in it..I have tons of sales experience so selling the coffee is a no brainer! i will make money and bless other people, churches, etc.. is the focus on the coffee or talking your friends into paying money to join? That's my biggest questions.I dont want to burn bridges of people i know.. just looks tome like if im getting paid 100% commision on the coffee i sell then clearly the company is making money off people joining at 1295 a pop.. Im know knocking this business at all because i want to be a part of it. I just have questions.. just dont see the focus on the coffee thats all.. OG REPS PLEASE EXPLAIN!

You shouldn't have been told to get on the phone and tell other reps to join before you become a distributor. That would be totally counter-intuitive, because you wouldn't be in a position to benefit from anything they do before you actually become

What you MAY have been advised to do is get on the phone and pre-sell coffee. Essentially this means you find 25-30 people who would be willing to purchase a box or two from you at the price you intend to sell it as soon as you become a distributor and obtain the ability to purchase the coffee wholesale and sell it to them. The idea is that you have enough future sales lined up to cover the cost of your distributorship, as well as the product to sell to them, and still turn a profit within hours of you starting your business. This way when people tell you that you're going to lose your shirt in this pyramid scam, you can tell them "actually I didn't lose a dime and I'm already earning a profit." And that's without recruiting a soul.

Okay folks. If I understand this model correctly, here's how this business works. You pay $1300 to obtain the right to utilize the marketing tools OG has developed to get 5 or more people to pay $1300 to sign up. The way you make money is to make sure the five people you sign up have a credit card with at least $2500 of available credit. Aside from the $1300 sign up fee, they need to be able to buy $50 per month of coffee for at least 18 months, which amounts to another $900 over the course of 18 months. Lucky for you, when the prospects sign up and pay the sign up fee, they are automatically signed up to have $50 worth of coffee shipped to them each month as a recurring charge to their credit card. The rest of the available credit can be used for marketing tools and meetings.

Based upon this model, the next step is to get each of the people you signed up to get 5 or more people signed up and repeat the process until it's 5 levels deep. Once this as done as quickly as possible, all you have to do is monitor each level to make sure anyone who drops out (ie anyone who cancels their recurring $50 per month autoshipment of inventory) is replaced as quickly as possible.

If you look at the math of having 5 people who all get 5 people at every level going 5 levels deep, you can easily maintain a downline of 3000 to 4000 reps. If they all buy the $50 per month minimum buy, you make $15,000 per month based on a 10% commission on the $50 that all 3000 in your downline are paying. So, maintaining and constantly adding to your downline is your one and only focus.

It really doesn't matter if you resell the coffee as long as you make sure everyone in each level is constantly replacing dropouts. At the end of the day, it's easier to just give away the $50 worth of coffee each person buys each month. You could possibly make money trying to resell the coffee, but why bother when you make more money by making sure the people below you are buying the minimum amount they need to buy each month, which of course is the $50 per month.
The fact is if your expectation is to get rich reselling coffee, this business will not make any money and could be considered a scam. However, if you follow the method I outlined and focus only on getting people signed up that can spend $50 per month, you can make a lot of money buying coffee and getting others to do the same. Does it really matter if you sell the coffee? You just have to be upfront with people that you try to sign up and let them know that their one and only goal is to maintain a team 5 levels deep that can afford to buy $50 per month of coffee for at least 18 months.

yes it does mater, 1in 1996 the fed's shut down many mlm and filed law suits against amway, avon, ect, for anti trust, racketeering, ponzi ponzi whole sale buying club. After that no company can tell you about unproven benefits, automatic so called placement, And must!!!! require at least 15 clients and up to 40 % of your business volume to be retail!!! Nor can you claim this success institute or fda or that organic org. has endorsed the product. IN FACT AFTER TALKING WITH RICHARD KIROSOCKI(RICH DAD), HE DOES NOT PROMOTE MLM AS "MULTI STREAMS OF INCOME" RUN FROM A COMPANY LIKE THIS THEY ARE SETTING UP THE SHEEP FOR SLAUGHTER

People can walk on the moon, but following the herd is still irresistible.

"There are a lot of group or herd behaviors where people follow others they believe know what they are doing. Those people don't actually know what they're doing," says Mansharamani.

By the time you realize everyone is falling off the cliff, it may be too late to scramble to safety.

"The classic story that you hear people say -- if the valets and waiters and all the service people around the rich hotels can think of nothing other than what stock to buy, it's probably time to sell," says Rodriguez.

It doesn't help that bubbles often come with compelling stories that can cloud facts, even for the most clear-eyed contrariness.

"It's like in the heyday of the Internet stocks. The narrative was it doesn't matter that they don't have profits now -- they will and don't be late to the party. So it's usually that which gets you," Rodriguez says.

You DON'T understand this correctly. The cost of becoming a distributor is $49.95, and you basically get a replicating website and back office to track your sales team for that price. I promise you that nowhere on or offline could you find ANY web designer who could duplicate the website and host it for you for that price or anything close to it.

The other $1250 buys you 81 boxes of coffee, which it is assumed that you will retail the majority of. And, by the way, that purchase is entirely optional. You can go with less, or none at all, although if you're approaching this as a business, it's kind of hard to be selling coffee if you have no inventory for people to try the product or buy right on the spot.

Similarly, the $50-$100 autoship is also entirely optional. It's RECOMMENDED because the company pays certain sales bonuses on a monthly basis, and if you do ZERO sales for the month, you get a ZERO for those particular bonuses. Yep, just like every other non-MLM company that has a sales team and pays sales incentive bonuses.

Also you totally misunderstand that 10% commission works; it only counts on the first two orders. To maintain a large residual income over the long term, you have to SELL A LOT OF COFFEE EVERY MONTH. The only thing we get paid on is coffee sales, and no one could consume enough coffee within their own household to support the kinds of incomes being earned. We're selling to non-distributor customers and getting a commission on those sales. Wow, who knew that companies compensate their employees for selling their products?

And finally, the example you gave doesn't even remotely resemble the illustrative example used in any company-produced presentations. It sounds like something some 17 year old kid concocted on the back of a napkin trying to retire at 21. The actual illustration assumes that you will sell far more than you consume, and that you will recruit far less than 5x5x5, etc.

The only thing I can say is wow! So the company asks you to buy into the company - and they give you coffee for the cost? So let me get this striaght I have to pay the company for the coffee that they are giving me to sell?? Wow you are right it is a scam!

So for those of you who bought in and were reps shorter than the 18 months reccomended, you obviousley thought the coffee would turn into gold after you bought it, because you had to work hard and do what they told you to do to make it work and when you chose not to do it you didnt get rich? So can I assume that the job you have had for the last 18 months, 3 years, 20 years has made you rich? Oh and you have a job where you dont have to work??? I want that job!

So who here has ever had a job where you started at the top (minus those whos parents owned the company). Last I recalled is that we usually start at the bottom and work our way up, please correct me if I am wrong. So we start a job at the bottom, we work are tails off for ??? so many years and wow we made it to the executive level. Unless you sleep with the boss it usually take a lot of hard work, again please correct me if I am wrong. So let me ask why would it be so different with OG? They dont claim that you can get rich quick, they sell you the product, you have to work hard, and they pay you wow sounds like a corporation? Oh yeah if you work for a corporation doesn't the guy at the bottom do most of the work while the guy at the top makes all the money???? Damn the job I have held for the last 18 years that has allowed me to have $300 in my bank account today is a scam!!!!!! I get a paycheck for the work I do, I think we better all just quit our jobs because they are all scams.

These same people righting all this negativity are probably the same ones that have comments about everything they know nothing about. They are probably the same ones that claim man never walked on the moon, that Elvis is still alive, that LDS(Mormons) cant eat chocolate and have several wives, and we have found a cure for Aids and Cancer because the read it in the National Enquirer! They are also the same people that think that everything bad that has ever happened to them is someone elses fault. Poor Victim.

Just sayin!! Have a great day, smile and enjoy life dont bull dose down that are doing well with what they have.

Really people? No one gets rich over night and neither have the men you are compianing about in this blog. Unless you are Price William and born wealthy or win the lottery it just doesnt happen. Hard work, Hard work.

Oh and the person that is so righteous on how they would use all thier money to save the world rather than drive a nice car? Why do you have a computer they are not cheap, donate it to an under privilage school???

It just p@#$&s me off when people don't think before they say stupid stuff!! Wonder why America is called the dumbest country in the world???

Why is it okay for companies like retail stores to sell their products at 1000% mark-up, don't give their consumers opportunity to make money off their products, no incentives for referrals but MLM's get a bad rap for scamming people?? Please do some research on what a true pyramid scheme is. MLM's are not a pyramid scheme. If anything, it is one of the most efficient ways to start a business. I don't know any business you can get into without any costs. If you find one, please let us know about it. Any business you start, takes time, hard work and money.

I've worked in corporate america for over 20 years. I make over $85,000/year and work about 60 hours per week. I barely have time to see my family and have very little saved up. I started in OG a few weeks ago. I didn't even think of it as a business. I bought the products because I liked how it made me feel and I loved the taste. My husband is not a coffee drinker but after drinking the tea, did not have any acid reflux. Call it a miracle, call it coincidence, it had a positive impact on him. For me the price per cup of OG coffee is cheaper than the cup of coffee I was buying at gas stations, Star Bucks, grocery stores, etc. I am one of those people who will not give up my coffee addiction. So I can find a healthier alternative to what I was drinking before, I'm all for it. I told my coffee addict friends (who were paying $4/cup at Star Bucks) about it. They asked to try it. I gave them some samples and they liked it. I have since sold over 10 boxes of coffee in a couple of weeks. I didn't say anything to them about buying into the business. However, one of them already approached me about getting into the business side of it because she really loves the coffee and sees the the marketing potential of a great product. With just casual conversation and sharing my experience, it's proven to be successful for me.

I am glad what you wrote, because i feel the same. The coffee that i tasted, is fantastic. No heart burn. I can not believe. And it does elevates your feeling. No heart palpitations either. I am absolutely overwhelmed. I did read about aluminum traces, some people wrote rat poison ingredients, etc. Very true, but no one comments how much aluminum is in everyday foods that we consume eg. flour, baking powder, salted snacks, hot chocolate, pickles, tortillas, muffins, donuts, cookies, waffles, cupcakes, cakes, baking mixes, pastries, banana bread, carrot bread, salami, ham (all preserved meats) anti perspirants, body lotions and creams, most cosmetics, shampoo and conditioners, soaps, suntan lotions, lip balms, anti-acid tablets, zantac, aspirins, ................
I am in Australia, and hope to buy this coffee somewhere close and soon!

I first started in the company only retailing the product and participating as a vendor at local festivals and events. I volunteered to be the "coffee lady"/booth at my son's back to school night. It's fun to get out into the community, expose the product, and mingle with other people. After all, this industry is called Network marketing and you can not network without speaking with people. I'm now focusing on building a team--a success team! I'm a single mother--I have always worked full time and attended school on a part-time basis. I really just want my TIME FREEDOM to spend with my son. He is going to be 13 years old this upcoming year. He is an amazing student!! I'm so proud of his accomplishments and his drive to excel in academics. I still have the goal of getting my degree (only two years away) but with tution increases, unemployment rates, and outsourcing--I feel that looking for a job or working for $12 an hour, or evenn taking the time to go back to school just isn't the right decision for me right now. School isn't going anywhere, It WILL always be there! But this Organo Gold opportunity, like any opportunity is about timing and positioning. I would rather position myself to be at the TOP NOW! later when I have my TIME FREEDOM, then I can go back to school simply because I want to not because I NEED it to get a "GOOD JOB" I would rather hustle and bust my but by presenting an opportunity to others who want to eventually leave their job too! I've held few jobs where I've actually received recognition for my efforts and I am a very hard worker. In network marketing one can get rewards for their efforts, some of which include vacations and even exotic cars. People work very hard in this industry and they deserve EVERY penny they earn! People who join this industry who believe they can get rich quick are misinformed. It takes time and it takes work but the short term sacrifice for the long term gain is well worth it. For those considering entering network marketing, just know that it requires patience, conistency, and persistency. For those who have experienced or know someone who has experienced forclosures and all the negative things that can happen if you don't run ANY business well...I feel terrible for your misfortunes but like anything in life consider it a good learning lesson. Move on! Move forward! We wake up each new morning with a clean slate to start our lives brand new. The decision is yours. We are all adults so make a sound decision as to how much YOU really can AFFORD and INVEST in ANY business. All business ventures require expenses. The goal of a business is to make a profit,so in the beginning be frugal and a bit cautious. This may require that you don't go to the movies every weekend, or you don't eat out for a few months. When you start seeing the results you'd like, then you can start increasing the amount of money you invest in your business. Do you know people spend about half a lifetime stuck in traffic traveling to and from work? That's insane! I was diagnosed with cancer a year ago and I'm now in remission. For me, this opportunity is INCREDIBLE! I have a second chance at life to do some very amazing things for my family, and in the process I can show others how to do the same thing! By the way, Google Ganoderma, Cancer and read the scholarly information. Ganoderma is incredible! Again, we NEVER make any health claims but the information is on the internet (I'm just saying). I'm ecstatic that I can help spread health through a highly consumed beverage.

Great job to those of you LEADERS speaking up.

First as many who have posted DO RESEARCH! Do you know that JD Noland was ban from MLM from the federal trade comission so the person who started this blog is not telling you the whole truth.

Also if you gave up after reading these negative comments then you are not meant to be successful in network marketing because you are a follower and not a leader. You cant stop just because men say no.

For those who are throwing around that Organo Gold is not USDA o FDA certified because there is no stamp. Look in your kitchen pantry, see how many products have that on thier packaging. Not many it doesnt mean it hasnt been approved for human consumption, just look at your cereal box.

Side effect? As with anything not every product is good for everyone. I can smoke wich causes lung cancer, heart decease, or i can take chantix with side effects like, nausea, mood swings, vivid dr
eams depression and thought of suicide. ???????? The only side effect i ever had was the nausea. But there are claims of many others. So to make a claim that a product is a scam because the soap makes you itch, really? DO RESEARCH dont listen to one negative person, there is 1000 positive things about Organo Gold for everyone of these negative blogs.

For those of you who had a negative experience with a rep it is probably because they are new and dont know what they are doing yet or you are very skeptical. Im just researching. God bless and good luck

As many of you have mentioned, Jay Noland (JD Noland)is formerly of Organo Gold. If anyone is thinking of switching to Serenigy Global, I would think twice and do the research. You might ask yourself why one individual has to continually (verbally) try to convince people that he,his staff, and company have integrity and stand for truth. According to the internet, first it was charges by the FTC when involved in the mlm Big Smart, then he got 'dismissed' from Organo Gold. Secondly, the doctor that is representing his company apparently doesn't have integrity and does not tell the truth. There is public information out there regarding this doctor who has a documented history of physically abusing all of his 3 ex-wives. Lastly, Danny Glover is the 'celebrity' representing Serenigy Global. You may like him in movies, but are you aware of his leftist ideologue that ardently supports the dictatorial regimes of Venezuela's Hugo Chavez and Cuba's Fidel Castro? Let's just say there is more. You might want to stick with Organo Gold or another ganoderma coffee company, I wouldn't get involved with Serenigy Global.

If I wanted to ensure truth was being mentioned as the blog host I would ensure ONLY those willing to sign up to comment with a valid email AND showing your IP address to say the least. This is NOT a place to seek truth, but to vent as an imposter of a competing company of Organo Gold. I'm NOT a OG rep, but a business person who knows business well.

All of the ingredients that some of you are talking about are the same ones you find in any non-dairy creamer! Or in many of the other foods you eat on a regular basis. Check the labels. Just because you heard something negative about the product, you seek more negativity about it. Also, most of the negative comments are written by other MLM company representatives. You said you did the research, but... You would be surprised to see how many products contain the anti-caking agent called sodium aluminum silicate, and the milk derivative sodium casienate. McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King, Chinese restaurants and other popular fast food restaurants have been using this stuff for YEARS!

Organo Gold is not sold in grocery stores and retail chains for a reason. And the reason is Organo Gold decided to use Distributors instead, so that regular people such as myself could have an opportunity to build a business.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Anonymous1/07/2012

I would like to start by saying that I won't pass any judgements on the folks who believe in OG, however I have read the blog because a friend wanted me to become a distributor and even explained to me that he makes more money by getting others to join and it's not about the coffee. So for him it's just creating a pyramid starting from him down and let others sell the coffee ... He wants distributors. This is in fact a straight up 100% NON USDA approved coffee pyramid. The mushroom is the least ingredient in the list and I did see it does have aluminum which of itself is linked to Alzheimer's disease. Moving forward on facts not opinion, I will also say its true results vary, however the pure fact that the mushroom property is dead last on the list means its not the active ingredient and possibly the aluminum or any other property may be responsible for the "feel good feelings" some of you claim to feel. Others Have said they feel nothing and I believe this all is mental... Both ways. You will feel what you expect to feel. The mind is great. Go drink a regular cup of coffee and say to yourself it's going to feel good it has pure coffee bean in it and it will be the best cup.... it's pure mental expectations.
Lastly, I would like to say I will not become a distributor or buy in to a product that is much more about how many people I get in the pyramid than how much coffee is sold for $30 a pop... It's simply not for me. I leave one lasting thought and that is that this follows several other pyramid schemes and if this was serious coffee goodness this would be available at my local supermarket and not just by a distributor

You are ignorant on a great many things, and out nothing more than a desire to see you actually understand things as they are, I want to help you.

#1. The order of ingredients in the listing does NOT indicate which ingredients are "active" vs. "inactive." Those terms are applicable to medicinal products. Coffee is classified as a food (specifically a beverage.) The fact that Ganoderma comes after coffee on the ingredients list simply means that there is more coffee bean than mushroom in a given amount of the coffee. Well DUH, if you've ever tasted a ganoderma lucidum mushroom you'd understand why you wouldn't want that to be ingredient #1 on the list.

#2 Organo Gold used the USDA Certified Organic Seal on their publicly displayed website. If you have factual evidence that they do not have the right or authority to display that symbol, I'd invite you to contact the USDA and inform their legal department. Certainly they'd want to know about something like that.

#3 The aluminum component you're referring to is sodium aluminum silicate, a WIDELY used anti-caking agent found in many items on the grocery store shelves that come in powdered form. There's no clinical evidence that sodium aluminum silicate is linked to any of the conditions you cited, just like neither the carbon nor the oxygen in carbon dioxide are linked to the dangers of carbon monoxide.

#3 There is a great deal of clinical, scientific research within the medical community on the short and long term health effects of ganoderma. Ask any medical doctor to do a Google search, since they would know far better than you apparently do what to look for. But just like Tylenol or aspirin don't effect everyone in exactly the same way, neither does ganoderma. That doesn't mean that "it's all in your head."

#4 There are a great many products, coffee and otherwise, that are revered among connoisseurs which cannot be found on the shelf of any supermarket. Contrary to what you may realize with your clear lack of business knowledge, the retail store distribution model is not the only one that companies choose to use, for a number of different reasons, not the least of which is the miniscule price most large stores are willing to pay for products that they markup for multiples of the wholesale price.

#5. There are many people who earn very decent incomes simply selling the coffee without ever recruiting a single person onto their team. The fact that they might simply be paid more for bringing on additional distributors to help them move more product does not all of the sudden make a very legitimate and legal business illegal or a pyramid scam. Just in case you didn't know, there are many industries, such as insurance and electronic payments processing, which have been using the exact same multilevel income model for YEARS. Yet no one is calling New York Life or JP Morgan Chase a scam ...

      Delete
  98. Anonymous1/07/2012

Also may I add to the person above who said this was not put to the supermarket so job opportunity could be made... Anyone who believes that is an idiot. anyone heard of Boresh coffee... Same bullsh!t it's great coffee it's healthy its Boresh and it's another coffee pyramid. If you research you will find the lawsuits over the aluminum in this crap and Boresh was no different and I believe they tanked recently as will this and as will the next. Simply stated : this crap couldn't get approved for sale at Publix. It wasn't about a business plan... Just about a pyramid and a coffee the USDA wouldn't approve.

Why not just eat the mushrooms if they are so amazing ? These pyramid companies have been around for ever-they come and they go. Some with good products remain but they are the few.
It is all the hub bub that bothers me. I know someone that sales a facial product in a similar concept and she cannot even have a conversation without attempting a sale. Most of the coffee drinkers I know are die hards and would never give up the real thing- so again why not just eat the shrooms. Also if it sounds to good to be true...well you know the rest.

If you'd ever actually bothered to taste a ganoderma lucidum mushroom, you would understand why people don't just "eat the shrooms." Ganoderma has a very unpleasant bitter taste, which is why even though it was available long before 2008, few people consume it on a regular basis despite the health benefits.

What Organo Gold has done is infuse ganoderma into something that people actually enjoy the taste of. That's the innovation. And by the way, there are plenty of "coffee die-hards" drinking Organo Gold.

I'm sure in 1985 if Howard Shultz told you that you'd eventually be willing to pay $5 for a cup of coffee with some syrup in it (even adjusting for inflation in the last 25 years) you would have laughed at him too.

  100. I have a few good friends that have recently found their way down the Yellow Brick Road to the world of OG. They seem to be very involved and as a show of support I told them that I would look into the product they are selling as well as the business operations.

I have a degree in Agroecology, minor in Horticulture and an emphasis on organic food production. I have also had classes in organic chemistry as well as industrial food production. I hope this can provide credentials to those looking for quality information.

In order to be Certified Organic by the USDA a strict series of requirements must be met, including a three year transition period. To see the full set of requirements for production visit the USDA's website.

Only after meeting the requirements in the above link can a product be labeled organic. I have not found a post prior to 2008, which makes me doubt the ability for an organic production system to be set up prior to the creation of OG.The same goes for Quality Assurance International, QAI which regulates international organic production.

Seeing as neither of these labels appear anywhere on the package does not discredit NOR prove the claim of 100 percent certified organic ganoderma. It simply proves that the entire product, whether it be coffee, hot chocolate, tea, supplements, etc, does not me USDA or QAI certified organic standards. This does seem to employ a sense of false advertisement seeing none of these labels on so called organic products.

Additives to these organic products include sodium aluminosilicate, mono and digylcerides and MSG. Sodium aluminosilicate has been linked to alzheimers, parkinsons on top of limiting the body's ability to absorb critical nutrients such as iron, calcium, zinc, copper, magnesium and phosphorous. Mono and diglycerides are synthetic forms of trans fats, the only naturally occuring form of transfat are triglycerides. And MSG has been linked to changes in heart rate, nausea and more.

As for the business side of things, both Norton and Chu have been either warned or had lawsuits brought before them. Follow the following links to see the warning letters sent to Chu by both the US and Canada for not properly labeling their products.
Note in the links that GanoExcel was the name of OG before Norton, Chu, Moran, and Buggs decided on OG.

Websites like this are built for those with weak minds and a lack of common sense.

For those of you comparing the products to what you get at the local organic market: Congratulations. You're not an entrepreneur and we don't want you in our business.

As for the certifications, during our business presentations, we have a slide featuring the certifications we have including:
GMP, SGS, COFCC, ECOCERT, USDA Organic, JAS
Heck, I don't even know what most of those mean, but I figure if we say it and it's on the screen and in our presentations, then it must be true. I'm on some medications and I haven't made any claims about these products curing me after using them for a year and I haven't quit taking my meds...that's just dumb. Common sense, people!

People hate Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, the pharmaceutical companies and whatever else someone can sink their teeth into that makes them feel better about themselves.

I just joined OG and after reading all of this stuff i think the people who hate are dumb. I enjoy the coffee. One thing i can say is that it gives me kicks to hate on stuff. hell if i had no life i would go looking for companies to hate on too because its fun to me. but like i said you guys are dumb. i am however worried about the aluminum stuff said because like others i do not want to harm people. the main reason i joined this is because i heard its very healthy and it helps some people. can someone tell me if the aluminum stuff is true and i was also wondering if the coffee is safe for people who are pregnant or breast feeding. but anyways i am a hater of haters which is hypocrytical but i dont care because you are dumb. yes it is a pyramid, but so is everything else. again you are dumb if you fail to realize this. and of course they put an emphasis on getting people to join. thats how you make money dumb people its called growing your business. but if you want you can just straight up sell the coffee you dont have to recruit anyone. hmmm.... what else. i almost gaurentee that most of these people are the same person. Duh who the hell spells and punctuates that perfectly in almost every freaking post. it is quite obvious which ones are by the same person. lastly. you know what. i dont have any degrees or anything fancy like that but what i do have is confidence in my ability to succeed in life. who knows. maybe i will get screwed by this company. maybe not but if you dont take any risks in life then you will never accomplish anything. i like people like you because if there was no such thing as you there would be no one to make me burgers at macdonalds and that would be a true tradegy.plus i just met shane morand and he was pretty cool. ya i will admit the meeting seemed kinda scary but if you stick a buncha people in a room and have them all hyped up on coffee things are bound to get a little wierd. here is a tip for those newcomers who are reading this blog thing if you even get this far down. if you do join OG you better commit to it, dont be skeptical and jump in it head first or you will soon end up back on this blog being a hater and then i will have to come back and hate on you for being dumb. if you dont plan on jumping in head first i suggest you dont even start untill you grow a brain and realize a great opportunity to give people healthy alternatives and make some great cash in the process. also thanks to the people sticking up for OG. like i said i just joined last week. i havent done anything yet so im still broke. but i have met some very nice people in the business and i look forward to seeig you at the top. anyways someone tell me about the pregnancy question because theres no way i will give my cousin some if i am not sure about it`s saftey

These people only get paid by recruiting new distributors to invest there money and so on. I'm sure OG has more distributers then people that just want to drink the coffee for it's taste. If this was such a great coffee or formula the multimillion dollar coffee companies would of came up with a similar version to compete with it. It's a whole lot of BS! Channel 5 news - you should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to stop a good thing.
Take your bogus report offline and let OrGano Gold continue its good efforts to help us.

Actually, a lot of us are quite happy that a news station is reporting on this horrid company. I'd like to see a few other folks contact their local news stations about doing similar reports.

Might actually help shut this nasty company down faster.

Nasty Company? Let's not digress to name calling. You know nothing about OG. And that Channel 5 News story is a joke. How are you going to discredit the entire company based on the three reps you met?

I lost 5 pounds in one week just by drinking the coffee, nothing else, have energy, haven't had one of my regular daily naps since i started drinking it, got back the money I invested...My husband lost 7 pounds, my brother in law 10 lbs. No dieting, just enjoying a cup of coffee. I have enough energy to take care of my family (we have a little one that keeps us up at nights sometimes) and go to a local hospital to volunteer and do my day job. I am happy to have found Organo Gold!

Ripping off people and taking their money, that's what you're doing in OG. And no, we're not 'hating,' we're exposing you for what you are.

How much money are YOU making, Mr. Anonymous?

    2. Anonymous5/25/2012

Ripping off people. Totally unfounded remarks. Offering an opportunity to someone is not ripping them off. It's an opportunity take it or leave it. Don't try to convince others to be as ignorant and closed minded as you. If your not smart enough to see the value, THAT'S YOUR OWN FAULT. Don't bash something you don't understand.

There is A LOT to take in here...some opinion, some fact. The problem is deciding or finding out which is which. Do you have a link for proof of Dr. Bartell's issues? I thought he was a credible source, but am not so sure now. What about JD Noland? I guess he isn't who he claims to be either? This is all so frustrating...wish people would just be honest and upfront with things. But that is the world we are living in now-money & power...sad. But ganoderma in general is a great healing herb-I know for a fact. It's just a matter of finding the purest form that isn't scamming people.

WOW! Someonly finally realized how stupid this whole blog is! Thank you. We all need to get the facts, and then decide for ourselves whether OG and the coffee is an opportunity for us or not.

The founder of Serenigy is a professional con-artist and scammer. Run, don't walk, away from this outfit. You will be sorry when you have to file bankruptcy, like I did. He doesn't care about you or what happens to you. He only cares about himself. Trust me.

  126. Wow! So many naysayers keep talking about "pyramids" and "scams" without having any idea what they're talking about. However, the same people are skipping in to a dead-end job that can/will drop them "at-will," whenever they deem necessary. I guess Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, and Warren Buffet all believe in "pyramids" too...because two of them own network marketing companies, and one highly recommends network marketing...or as the uninformed call it, "pyramid scams." Well enjoy your 40-40-40 plan, which means working 40 yrs for 40 hrs per week, only to get 40% of your income upon retiring...GOOD LUCK WITH THAT...lol. Negative people usually get negative results in life...well I will let you guys go since you're probably late for work...lmao!

  127. Hi to all who may read my post. I have personally been involved with organo gold as a company and product consumption. I loved the coffee and mocha was my favorite. I honestly felt its mystic powers of ganoderma made me appriciate this wonderful herb. Feel great and honetly can't remeber the last time I been sick. Anyways joined got some family involved and they haven't complained at all everyone of them loves the coffee. Last year I averaged an income of 5000.00 of us. Dollars. I know that's not a whole lot but it works as business perspective point of view. I must admit this income was done with very lil work and not 100% of my time. Just with respect for the product recomending here and there. On the other hand the people that invited us are in the diamond level. Was proud to know that anyone can achieve what they strive for. Now I'm being sincere and just saying what my opinions are when regarding these aligations are and what's the future is waiting for organo gold I noticed and have been told that mr. Bernie chua is being sued by its diamond distributors because the company promises to pay 20% of its overall compensation plan but were in reality getting paid 15% what caused the lawsuit. I noticed my check and others have been put on hold. And decided to stop my of og business and its time to move to other ventures. I'm into network marketing and got involved with momentis which deals with the deregulation of energy. No more mothly re orders yes lol. My kind of business check me out at www.hrdz .mymomentis.biz

Its funny that most of you have no idea how the job they work at was started. A person's dream starts a business and employs people to carry out their dream. You are the employee of someones dream. Because you don't know the person, you feel OK. Then you are calling it a real Job.
I am simple, I sold some small stickers door to door and made money. I am selling coffee and making money on the side of my job. If you have a problem with me making extra cash selling coffee, it is your problem. I am not going to stay idle. I know I am making some good money besides my job. I don't mind selling coffee to make that extra income.
I guess idlers have opinions on anything. I have seen some of my friends say the same. But they never complained when I started ink business for 8,000 dollars. It was cool. This was only 1250 dollars. I have already returned my money and making more. Still keeping my job. watch out your attitude to things please. life will still continue with your opinions. I make better vacations with my family because I have extra income. Try taking your family out with your real job savings and see what happens when you come back. You will always start recovery process.

People if you are smart, before you get involved in a business, do a little research first, look up the business in the Beteer Business Bureau, in there you will find the whole story of the business, and you can trust the better business bureau to be a reliable source.

  130. Hilarious some of the negativity on this comment thread. I got involved with a company, 4Life, when it was well established. Hence I couldn't be at the "top of the pyramid." I make TOP income, though. One bad apple need not sour the batch. 4Life and Transfer Factor have changed my life for the good. Research before you make blanket statements. http://www.4lifetransferfactorproducts.com

The cost to become a distributor is $49.95. As per the guidelines of the DSA, of which Organo Gold is a member, they must agree to purchase back from any distributor at cost any unsold product still in salable condition. So how exactly does one commit financial suicide by trying the opportunity? Will the $49.95 bankrupt them and cause them to lose their home and car?

Its not a Cult! Brainwashed, no. This is a legitimate business opportunity. If you know how to run it, you will make money. Just like any other business. It takes hard work. In what ever you do. If you tried it and failed then it was not for you. It has been said, only the strong survive. Good luck though!

Aluminum is a common food additive found in foods such as processed cheeses, table salt, baking powders, pickles, bleached flour, prepared dough, cake mixes, non-dairy creamers, vanilla powders and some donuts and waffles. Milk formulas for babies can contain up to four hundred times more aluminum than breast milk.

Medications: Antacids quite often contain aluminum trisilicate as does buffered aspirin. Antacids can contain 200 milligrams or more of elemental aluminum in a single tablet. Certain popular antacids contain aluminum hydroxide. Aluminum is present in popular over-the-counter and prescription medicines such as certain pain-killers and anti-diarrhea medicines.

Other products containing aluminum: Aluminum can be found in toothpastes, nasal sprays, anti-antiperspirants, dental amalgams, cigarette filters and pesticides. Some metal cleaners contain aluminum oxide.

Your job and your boss will make you rich, won't it? there is no such thing as perfect business, perfect product or perfect people. Look at all the big bank that ripped your off royally with the big bail out scam. Where is the anger against them or that? People like to pick on MLMs. Out of concern? No. Jealously. Now you go try to set up a perfect business that pleases 100% of the people 100% of the time. Where is your anger against McDonald's or other big corporations? Where is the investigation on them? What do you know about the contents of Starbucks Coffee or exorbitant prices? There is no way that 100% of people that enter into ANY business opportunity are going to be 100% successful with it.
