ORGANO GOLD 2011

Time is almost about up for this company to start disbanding, so top heads can move on to the next ponzi scam. FDA has sent out warning letters to the organization to stop labeling misrepresenting itself as 'organic'. Remember if a product doesn't have that official 100% organic stamp from the FDA then 9/10 its NOT organic. Since big wigs caught wind of this, they are trying to find a way to jump ship and leave all you Leonardo Di'Caprios behind...lol! So what is your exit plan when Organo Gold disbands? You IBO's should have made this part of your New Years resolution.

In the words of Antoine Dobson,"You are so dumb, you are really dumb!" Seriously, I am curious about this BUT CMON MAN, this is the LEGAL way of selling drugs. You go buy a ball and sell it for more money or you can give away some samples and then rack up the price because the demand is so great. The more you buy the more you can distribute to your underlings and BOOM you just sit and wait for the cash to roll in while the little disciples do the dirty work for ya. I've had family members, relatives, and friends who've done these kind of scheme things and yeah they get thier weekly checks but trust me it aint as HUGE as spokespersons say they are. By the time a person in this business gets a decent check is when they have retired from a normal job all old. All the young BLACK guys you see in these ads are just advertisement reasons. Of course anyone can talk and read in front of a camera but you gotta look good to sell. Just like Amway was for white people, OG is targeted more towards the minorities. All I can say is do what you think you gotta do, if you think you are succeeding then great for you. But if you start charging on your cards just to purchase more product to sell or sample away to better your business, be smart and keep an eye on your statements cause you will never know if a couple EXTRA bucks are being taken from you. For me, all I am gonna do regarding this product is just gonna buy it from ones I know and drink it. PEACE!

I went to a Organo Gold seminar. It was scary. Power Points of people posing in front of Range Rovers, Beamers, and over the top houses. Sell some nasty instant coffee, and drive the car of your dreams. People were cheering and screaming and dancing. Over what? That one day they will live in a house bigger then Texas, and pose by their new Range Rover and be featured in the latest power point?

It was the epitome of materialism. These people had a preoccupation upon material rather than intellectual or spiritual things. They tried to actually make it seem as God wants you to do this. The lord wants no one to chase riches. They had this one speaker who looked high on cocaine say that," People with no money are materialistic because they are always complaining that they have to pay bills etc." I found that odd. That sounds like responsibility to me. Materialistic is producing a power point with people posing on luxury cars while screaming, "Look I'm happy now, I own a luxury car. I'm worth something." It was sad and sick. Its a scheme none the less. A shame that people are so blinded by greed they don't see it. Ask yourself this question, what LEGIT business has YOU pay for training? Trips? Reading material? SHIPPING? YOUR BEING SERVED PEOPLE. The product could have been dog poop. Yet, you would sell it..... because the promise of a 50k car blinds your judgement. This company is a joke. A very sick and demented joke. The promise of being a millionaire and all you have to do is carry a small packet of cheap instant coffee in your back pocket, find someone as weak minded and greedy as you to sell it, and hope the same greed that drives you will drive them because hey, you got a Benz that needs to be purchased so you can show off to your friends. Your right Organo Gold it is simple, Love Money, Be Greedy, Sell our coffee, loose your home.

    1. If you work 8 hours a day, does that make you greedy? Because youre spending the greater part of your time trying to make money so that you can buy stuff. At retail, organo gold is a dollar a cup. That is cheaper than starbucks and even McDonalds. The fact is, people pay five times the price we sell for daily. If you buy wholesale the price drops to around 60 cents. Work smarter, not harder. Building a residual income is a genius way to capitalize on your hard work, because you keep getting payed on it rather than a sparkly lump commission. I work for verizon and im constantly trying to convince people to pay hundreds of dollars a month just so i can make a measly 70 bucks for selling them the phone along with taking on the liability of the phone for 6 months. I make 70 bucks selling an iphone but stand to lose 500 bucks if people deact within 6 months and dont return the bill. Thats a freaking scam. In comparison to organo gold, i have very little liability, and a product that require zero service work that people love. You get ALOT of product for what og charges you to get started. Anytime someone starts a business, there must be an investment. OG would go broke if they just gave anyone that signed up 20 free boxes of coffee and a website. Have some concept of value, people. Its not hard to move 20 boxes of coffee in a month if you have even the slightest grasp on the skill of selling. If you can convince others to do the same, you make more money. Simple concept, easy to implement, and its a great tasting product thats also good for you. In the Bible, god blessed Job with riches and loved him because he lived a great life and positively influenced others. OG partnered with the napoleon hill foundation so that they could maximize their positive and success attitude influence. Im not comparing OG to God, but the fact is OG promotes successful thinking in many areas of life. God made humans to be sovereign beings that dominate the physical, material universe. It is our duty and God given right to take control of it and use it to glorify him, and OG provides many tools that can help people achieve that.

wow this is amazing how people think. remember its not the company thats a scam its the way people representing. giving people the wrong information. or the person receiving the information cant understand it. so like kat williams said! haters are there for a reason. thats their job. to bring down the people that are doing better for them and there family. thay dont have the mentality for this job especially since your being brain washed by the same people that dont want to give people jobs. thats where organo gold comes in. they tell you about the opportunity but, you yourself has to move and rise up to follow you dreams. dont try it do it.

To comment on the post above I too have gone to one of these events. Sad that people have come to this. What the hell happens when the people under you do not want to sell anymore? What happens then? You drop from a "ruby" to coal? I was shocked to see how many people were just falling for this. The powerpoint looked like a Lil' Wayne rap video. 5 dollars for instant coffee??? Why because it has some magical mushroom in it? Classic pyramid scheme. It was also greed at it's finest. You want to help people? Open up a store and donate money to the homeless, battered women, shelters. Stop trying to pray on the empathy of others to sell your worthless and poor packaged product. I left shaking my head feeling sorry for all those people who are pumping $1,185 on the gold "package". Riddle me this; is it fun turning away family and friends? Plain sad if you asked me. These people were like rabbits with a carrot dangled in front of them. I believe some of them would have sold their souls if asked. Danny Glover SHAME ON YOU.

PEOPLE. REALLY? When this fails whats next? Going to sell organic light bulbs. Don't you realize someone wanted to get rich so they make a product and make money off of all you. I will tell you this. Organo Gold reps would make a hell of a drug dealer. They sure do have drug dealer taste, expensive cars and homes. Also drug dealer mentally, get rich quick, by any means possible. I did have to laugh, you pay for your own "business trips?" HAHAHHAHA. Stamp SUCKER on your forehead now. Funny how the people who sell this stuff is also the primary consumer of the product... hmm now how did that happen...

What the F. Organo gold yall playing with this BS right? People were literally cumming in their chairs over this shit. You really believe your EVER going to get where these "motivational con-artist" are at? No. They are plugged in long before you ever got brainwashed.

MLMs in general are nothing more than legalized pyramid schemes. Organo Gold is no different. price-fixing of products, high initial start-up costs, emphasis on recruitment of lower-tiered salespeople over actual sales, encouraging if not requiring salespeople to purchase and use the company's products, potential exploitation of personal relationships which are used as new sales and recruiting targets, complex and sometimes exaggerated compensation schemes, and cult-like techniques which some groups use to enhance their members' enthusiasm and devotion. You are recruiting people that will end up competing with you. This retarded practice leads to market saturation.

Would you blind bitches wake up! Excuse my language but shit for real? I went to a event and laughed my ass off. My dad is a doctor, my mom a chemist, money was never a problem, but we are not happy. One of the dick's at the event said " Mo' money, Mo' Money. You dumb asses ever listen to Puffy? "Mo' Money, Mo Problems." Get a Job. Stop getting wet over a damn BMW. What are the taxes you clowns pay on this shit anyway? Yall are gettng PLAYED like a piano. The only one that is going to the bank is the bitch sitting on top. Making money off all yall fools. How much did that trip to Hawaii cost you? I bet more then your "gold instant shit package."

Those that are complaining about Organo Gold, have not used the product, nor reasearched ganoderma.
I joined the business and althought I'm not a part of the "business" much anymore, I still use the product. I have asthma and high blood pressure, using the ganoderma supplements no longer use an inahler, take Advair and have been able to stop taking the Lisinopril for my blood pressure. It's not about the "coffee", the coffee is a tool to get the ganoderma. I have though, personally witnessed a woman with psoriasis that drinks only the coffee and her psoriasis is almost gone. Another woman with COPD that is doing better drinking the products with the ganoderma. Research ganoderma. The product is amazing. For those that don't have the dream or the drive and would rather sit and bitch about a product or person that is successful, obviously nothing is going to work or be for you. Money won't make you happy, but being healthy certainly will. My teenage son was just diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, and I am starting him on the supplements. There is plenty of documentation on the healing properties of ganoderma, read them for yourself, and those reports do NOT come from "OrganoGold".

Organo Gold claims their coffee has ganoderma, but doesn't list how much is in their coffee on the nutritional label.
I also did research and found that too much ganoderma (and excess of any thing) can have adverse side effects.

    Sergio

FYI: You are working for someone who is building their Dreams/Lifestyle: Bernie Chua, Shane Morand and Holton Buggs. BUT you are delusional enough to think that you are working towards your own dreams/lifestyle.

If Organo Gold is so great, why do you CONTINUE, I mean absolutely CONTINUE, to follow negative sites about this company? At some point you did your due diligence and explored the pros and cons of OG. Apparently there were enough pros for you to join this company so why are you focusing on this site? That makes no sense.

Do you really think that by posting "3rd party" documentation that you are changing peoples' minds? Those testimonials are ridiculous and where is YOUR testimonial??

    Here's MY testimonial:

"I saved $1295, by attending an Organo Gold CJM and NOT purchasing the gold pack. I may not be able to retire at the age of 35, but because I didn't give Holton all my money, I will be able to retire with a comfortable amount of money. I also walk away with a clear conscious knowing I didn't badger my family and friends into buying a box or 2 of INSTANT coffee infused with undisclosed amounts of Ganoderma for $60 when they can go to any Asian store and get it for pennies. Yay me :)"

Sergio, I'll keep YOU in my prayers...stud!!!

You are mistaken on the price I just bought some. It comes out to be 1.00 a packet.
May I ask what is wrong with them getting rich when he can retire at a young age? One would hope that your "family and friends" are smart enough to make their own minds up. When you buy product anywhere, you are making people rich.
Regarding instant coffee...Did you know that Stsrbuck's has been selling "instant" coffee for over a year and they are EXPANDING the range of flavors because instant coffee is not working for them.

You sound angry and that takes alot of energy to be and stay angry. You did what was good for you. You did not buy the gold pkg. People are able to make their own adult decision.
I will tell you I did go to the seminar and they were all about the money and material things. That was a turn off. I just wanted to make some extra money because I am a stay at home mom. Do not need all that stuff. If I ever made that kind of money now, I would donate it to charities. To each his own. I will not persecute anyone.

Sergio, I think it is great that you are pursuing your dreams. There are nay sayers with everything. Let it go and God's speed.

You should not go into anything blind. You have to work it. You have to put in the hours just like you would with any career. It is not a get rich quick. But, I will tell you I have two friends who sell it (for a while now) and they are really successful. (If making lots of money is your idea of success.) They are not about trying to get people in the business. (They are also nothing like the people at those seminars.) The one seminar I went to did mention God but said nothing wierd. They are on the cover of Success magazine with a huge article on them.

Lets call this company what it is.. a scam. No one. I mean NO one gets rich quick. Sergio why are the powerpoints flooded with images of cars and mansions? I tried to sell this product and while yes the coffee was good, I was practically laughed out of my circle of friends, and my family finally told me if I brought it up again, they were going to ask me to nicely leave. I threw all my money into this, and made maybe 500 dollars total. I have a college degree in accounting so the fact that I even fell for this is sad. I fell for it because I got greedy. I wanted the easy way out. I now work for a legit company making 65K and Im happy. My mission is to expose this company for what it is. Happiness comes from within. Driving a BMW is not happiness. Isolating friends and family is not happiness. I had a friend tell me, Ron I love you, but you sound like a broke down pimp." He was right. Its a scam folks. Get out and achieve the American Dream the right way, not by stepping on the backs of others, and dumping your life savings out on a pack of instant coffee that cost 5 dollars. Starbucks sells a cup of coffee for 1.50. Also where is the seal from the FDA saying this stuff is legit??!? okay. Im going to tell you my experience as a consumer. It's scary. Please listen.

I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. My husband and I befriend a couple who's name that I can not type due to a court injunction. For now we will call them Connie and Jack. Connie and Jack welcomed us into our new home with open arms. I was excited to have such warm neighbors. They gave us a welcome to your new home basket with lots of goodies. Inside the basket was homemade blueberry muffins, a map of las vegas, a bottle of wine and some packets of Organo Gold Coffee. We thanked them and told them to come over for dinner the following week. That night my husband and I had a the latte coffee. It was amazingly good. I asked my husband if he had ever heard of this brand before. He said he had not. I made a point to remind myself to ask them because I wanted to know where they got it from. This was the biggest mistake of my life.

We invited Connie and Jack over for steak and sides. I asked them about the coffee. Their eyes lit up like christmas trees and they began talking about their "business" and the benefits of drinking the coffee. My husband and I being health food nuts ourselves quickly told them to sign us up for 2 boxes! They told us they were close to be "diamonds" in the company, and close to retirement. The dinner ended on a high note and I couldn't wait to get my coffee.

2 months later we finally got the product which I had all forgot about. My husband decided that we would not being buying this product anymore considering we paid 100 dollars and had to wait two months. A couple of days later Connie called and asked me if I wanted another box. I told her no we were good for awhile. She kept pushing and I finally had to firmly tell her no. Thats when the phone calls started.

We started getting 4am phone calls from Connie and Jack. Some of them were odd, " Hey just was putting in a coffee order do you need a box?" or " Hey knew you loved that latte so 2 more boxes?" It was insane. One day we get home and there is a box on our door with a note that says "give us the money whenever." I was furious as we had not even ordered a box. I called Connie and demanded to know what was going on. She said simply" Oh you dont remember you said yeah yeah put me down." I was IRATE at this point. I told her to get rid of my information and that I was returning the coffee to her house. She then told me that I needed to open my eyes wake up. She started asking me did I enjoy working for someone else, and that I was not living life to its fullest. I told her she was crazy and she did not know what she was talking about. She then said my husband was not happy with me. I said excuse me? She then proceed to say that her and my husband had been having sex since the day I moved in, and he would moan to her that he wanted more out of life and Orango Gold was the only way. I started to get scared as I realized she was crazy. My husband is a successful doctor and owned 3 practices. I hung up the phone and began to cry. I started to check my voice mails... her husband Jack left this message

    ReplyDelete
  15. Anonymous1/31/2011

    continued from the above post...

" Karen, its me Jack. You Bitch. Why did you tell us you were going to buy 20 cases of our coffee. I saw you at Starbucks drinking coffee. Thats why you cannot afford yours. What kind of person our you? Well I guess you should know my wife has been fucking your husband brains out every night. Im high on cocaine right now. We are going to loose our home. BECAUSE. OF YOU. YOU LYING WHORE. LOSING EVERYTHING. WHORE. Do you want to come over and have sex to get back at your husband. Beep me. Who does that. Im high. I will kill you. GIVE US OUR MONEY SLUT."

My husband and I called the police for stalking. I asked my husband about sleeping with Connie. He said Connie came over asked him to buy 2 boxes. When he said no, she offered to give him oral sex. When he said no to that she ran out of the house. He did not want to tell me as not to make me upset. They sent us emails, the next one crazier the the next. They ended up loosing their homes and left the city right after they were served for their court date.

People with a deep love of money will do things. These people are crazy. A woman was willing to go down on my husband just so he would buy to boxes of coffee.

You people have NO faith! My Granny fell down and busted her hip! I knew what we needed to do! I grabbed my Organo Gold Instant Mocha (Because I was out of the Latte) and I rubbed it right on that old, busted hip and said 'It is Done!' Boom! Healed! My grand mama's hair was falling out and I grabbed my last pack of Instant Black Coffee and made a paste with hot water and rubbed her head, with it and next day hair all over the place! It looked a little green but nothing a dye can't fix! Boom, again! So I started to wonder, is there anything Organo Gold can't fix? It fixed my money problems, it grew my grand mama's hair back, it fix her old, busted hip, I wonder if it can cure my granny's rash! so I took her dentures after she fell asleep of the counter and brush them with their new toothpaste! The results were shocking!!! Got those stains out but it didn't cure her rash. Turns out she's allergic to mushrooms but daaaaaaanng her teeth were gleaming in the sunlight!
I sold to all my friends and family, and all their friends and family and I made my grand mama a believer! If you find your friends are hating on you, bump them! Who needs friends when you got that MONEY??!!!!!! Who needs my old 'doubting Thomas' husband any more when I can buy a new husband! Want more friends? Go to an Organo Gold Convention! They have church in there! We need to get Oprah in on this!

P.S. Granny's rash cleared up after a few weeks with benadryl. Next week she is going to try a cartwheel! Thank you, Organo Gold! It is done!!!!!!!

Madison...I think (and I hope) that Glover Lover and Tray Peoples are just being sarcastic. Making a parody of all the crazy things that go on in Organo Gold. If they aren't playing...well...like you said, Jesus help them all! lol.

Organo Gold is one of the most successful SCAMS going on right now. It's really sad that they ARE mainly targeting black and latino communities. They are even going to countries (i.e. Mexico, Jamaica) where there are high levels of poverty and ignorance.

    Sergio,

you keep saying your own business. What I meant was you did not go to the bank, get a business loan and market it something that was your own idea. if you were a legit business man you would not be on this site arguing with people in a very condescending manner. You see Mr. Quinones YOU alone give this company a bad name. Do you think If i told Starbucks I felt their coffee was terrible and that they were ripping people off with their high prices that the manager would be rude to me? No, because the customer is always right. I do not know where you get your business savvy from but it is very very poor.

Your comments are absurd. NO ONE pays to go to a business conference. NO ONE. The company that you work for should pay for that. Your in denial. All you see is $$$.

You are a terrible business man. How old are you anyway? Does Organo Gold know you go on this site and that your responses to people are VERY unprofessional? If i were to copy and paste all these comments you write on her to the con artist you work for would they approve of this?

Make it a swell day my friend. Learn to be professional. Learn how to talk to people. You only make Oragno Gold sound like a haven for con men, and uneducated people.

Orango Gold. Run for the hills. Scam. Tried it for awhile, turned people off. This shit aint simple just because its coffee. You should see the looks I get when I try to sell them this stuff. Probably is, it is just coffee and the price is too much. 5 dollars for one packet is too much. Lets face it coffee at the store and starbucks is much cheaper. Then these lying bastards say its organic.... uh.. try explaining to people why you do not have the seal on the box that your trying to sell them. I quit about a month ago was not worth it. Guys like Sergio were all over this company. They will sell this trash until they die. They want to be rich. Just ignore him, he is probably some young cat, trying to make a dollar. I do not think they will be around much longer, one of the founders is already suing the company.

The conferences, you know, the ones you guys have all of the United States, I saw the facebook fan page. You had to pay $274 dollars for the conference they just had in Orlando, Florida. No one said anything about calls.

Second a box of Orango Gold is 50 dollars, which breaks down to 5 dollars a packet which was stated in their powerpoint. Have you even been to any of these conferences?

Third, you said I CAN GUARANTEE THAT ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE MAKING NEGATIVE AND ABSURB COMMENTS HAVE NEVER, NEVER EVER OWNED A BUSINESS....

Which must mean you are referring to owning your own business which is Organo Gold.

To the person that wants to know why Organo Gold may or may not be a scam... here is my view. Tell me what you think = ) Im actually a marketing student at UCLA, so I am thankful for this chance to share what I have been taught in school. : )

Multi-Level Marketing programs or MLM's, are a constant source of debate. They have their fanatical devotees, and often appear to behave in a manner much like a cult religion. How many times have you been approached by a neighbor, colleague, friend, or worse yet, a family member, who said "Let me tell you about an incredible ground-level business opportunity" and you are then invited to a house or to lunch for "a discussion."

Most people immediately have a bad feeling that there is probably a hidden agenda or deception.

"Is it a multi-level marketing organization?" you think or even ask. And what if they're honest enough to admit that it is? Should you trust your instincts? Is there anything wrong with MLM's?

Perhaps you know someone who, at one point in their life, sold Amway, Herbalife , Mary Kay or some other health or diet supplement or cosmetic. Typically, they tell you how much money they spent, how little they made, how the meetings were like fundamentalist tent revivals, and how they were pressured to sign up new "distributors".

Multilevel marketing plans, also known as "network" or "matrix" marketing, are a way of selling goods or services through distributors. These plans typically promise that if you sign up as a distributor, you will receive commissions -- for both your sales of the plan's goods or services and those of other people you recruit to join the distributors. Multilevel marketing plans usually promise to pay commissions through two or more levels of recruits, known as the distributor's "downline."

Ultimately, you will hear 4 major themes emerge as problems

Market saturation can be defined as the point at which all people who want the product at the desired selling price, will purchase. No products and services will achieve 100% market penetration; since not everyone will want the product, nor be able to afford it. The fact that a multi-level marketing scheme that is based upon an ever-expanding network of distributors, each of whom may pay fees, buy products and/or recruit more "distributors" can not work for all, or even most participants can be proven mathematically and shown.

So what's the problem you as with MLM market saturation? Matching the manufactured supply to the market demand is key to a company's suvccess. Interestingly, the issue of supply and demand is what brought the USSR to its knees. By design, the Soviet government tried to macro-manage supply, where bureaucrats would decide how many potatoes were needed, how much toilet paper, etc. Assuming these bureaucrats did the best they could, unfortunately their efforts to deliberately manipulate the control "knob" of supply and demand was not good enough. Notwithstanding their good intentions, they were usually wrong, which created huge shortages and surpluses, and led to a massive economic collapse, as resources went into producing products that weren't needed, while other products were in limited supply.

With MLMs, the situation is much worse. Nobody is home. Even the Soviets had SOMEONE thinking about how much was enough! If the bureaucrat in Soviet Russia was having a hard time trying to play Adam Smith's "invisible hand" in setting the supply level in the Soviet Union, then an MLM "executive" is in a truly unfortunate position. Not only is there no one assigned to make the decision of how much is enough, the MLM is set up by design to blindly go past the saturation point and keep on going. It will grow till it collapses under its own weight, without even a bureaucrat noticing.

MLM is like a train with no brakes and no engineer headed full-throttle towards a terminal.

    ReplyDelete
  47. continued to post above..... response to person wanting to know why Organo Gold is a scam...

Imagine that McDonald's became suddenly convinced that "since everyone needs to eat," we'll open four McDonald's franchises on each of the four corners of an intersection in your neighborhood. In a matter of months, the four outlets would die a slow death. The franchisees would think twice about doing business in such a manner again. This is why real-world distributorships and franchises are contractually protected by defined territory and/or market; they don't allow too many distributors in a given area.

Again, the simple fact is that even the most successful products will have partial market penetration. The same is true for services. Demand and "market share" are finite, and to overestimate either is catastrophic.

So why are MLM promoters obscuring this? Who is in control of the supply "knob," carefully and skillfully managing the size of the distribution channels, number of salespeople, inventory, etc., to insure the success of all involved in the business? The truth is chilling: nobody.

Imagine trying to write a computer model of how MLMs work, and you will see this point most vividly. An MLM could never work, even in theory. Think about it.

Where is the "switch" that can be flipped in an MLM when enough sales people are hired? In a normal company a manager says, "We have enough, let's stop hiring people at this point." But in an MLM, there is no way to do this. There are never enough or too many "distributors" or sales people. An MLM is a human "churning" machine with no "off button." Out of control by design, its gears will grind up the money, time, credibility, and entrepreneurial energy of well-meaning people who joined merely to supplement their income.

There is simply no way to avoid the built-in failure mechanism of MLMs. If a company chooses to market this way, it will eventually "hire" (with no base pay and charging to join) far too many people, who can not successfully compete and sell.

Thus, the only "control system" will be the inevitable losses and subsequent bad image the MLM company will gain after it does what it was designed to do: fail. And sooner or later we have got to stop blaming this particular MLM company or that, and admit that the MLM technique itself is fundamentally flawed.

  48. Continued...

Also you will remember Starbucks had to close 659 stores last winter due to this same problem. Too many stores to close to each other....

Then there is the "pyramid structure" of MLM's.

MLM's are described as having an inherent basis in a pyramid structure since, for most MLMs, the product is really a just window-dressing to divert attention from the real profit-making dynamic: joining fees selling product internally and distributorships. Now, the product or service may well be good, and, as we discussed in the previous page, it might oversaturate the market at some point, but the product is not the incentive to join an MLM. If the product were really the focus it would ALSO be sold by other methods, including the traditional stores and online retailers. In reality, the product is the excuse to create an appearance of legitimate business.

MLM-Pyramid schemes now come in so many forms that they may be difficult to recognize immediately. However, they all share one overriding characteristic::

They promise consumers or investors large profits based primarily on recruiting others to join their program, not based on profits from any real investment or real sale of goods to the public. Some schemes may purport to sell a product, but they often simply use the product to hide their pyramid structure.

There are two tell-tale signs that a product is simply being used to disguise a pyramid scheme: inventory loading and a lack of retail sales. Inventory loading occurs when a company's incentive program forces recruits to buy more products than they could ever sell, often at inflated prices. If this occurs throughout the company's distribution system, the people at the top of the pyramid reap substantial profits, even though little or no product moves to market. The people at the bottom make excessive payments for inventory that simply accumulates in their basements.

A lack of retail sales is also a red flag that a pyramid exists. Many pyramid schemes will claim that their product is selling like hot cakes. However, on closer examination, the sales occur only between people inside the pyramid structure or to new recruits joining the structure, not to consumers out in the general public.

Remember, in order to avoid being classified as an illegal pyramid scam, the MLM MUST try to sell SOME product (or service). By law, they must derive at least 51% of their income from product or service sales, rather than fees and distributorships in order to avoid being legally classified as a pyramid scam. That's why each distributor must buy sales kits, trial kits, and sometimes, a certain amount of "product" each month themselves. All to prop up the illusion that the product is the real focus of the company, which is is not.

    ReplyDelete
  49. continued...

n the classic "pyramid" scheme, participants attempt to make money solely by recruiting new participants into the program. The hallmark of these schemes is the promise of sky-high returns in a short period of time for doing nothing other than handing over your money and getting others to do the same.

The fraudsters behind a pyramid scheme may go to great lengths to make the program look like a legitimate version of a multi-level marketing program. But despite their claims to have legitimate products or services to sell, these fraudsters simply use money coming in from new recruits to pay off early stage investors. But eventually the pyramid will collapse. At some point the schemes get too big, the promoter cannot raise enough money from new investors to pay earlier investors, and many people lose their money.

Then there are the Ethics.....Materialism and greed are universally condemned by every major religion, and even by most of the nonreligious. This does not mean people are not materialistic or greedy; in fact, the fact that the ethical call to not be so is actually strong evidence that we are.

For most people, this means if we are going to be materialistic or greedy, we would rather not be obvious about it. Thus, Madison Avenue has subtle, highly polished marketing and advertising ways of appealing to these vices without being heavy handed. We don't mind so much... as long as it is "veiled." This hypocrisy, while sad, is the status quo. So, Madison Avenue is trying to be ever more subtle in appearing not to be manipulating our immoral "bent" towards greed and materialism.

But this is not so with the MLM crowd. Pick up any brochure or videotape for an MLM and you are more than likely to see a cheesy, obvious, and blatant appeal to greed and materialism. This is offensive to everyone, even die-hard materialists. Typical is an appeal to "the American dream." Usually there will be a mood shot of a large new home, a luxury car, a boat, perhaps a beautiful couple boarding a Lear jet, and so on. Isn't odd that while they claim the product or service they sell is so great, but so little attention is given to the product, and so much to the wealth of the sellers and "distributors"?

Such a transparent appeal ought to make people suspicious. "Why the bait?" "Are they trying to 'get my juices going' so that my brain turns off?" "Couldn't they show people doing more wholesome things with the money they make?" "Why do we see so little about the product, the manufacturing, the waulity control, the business planning, etc?" "If this is really a legitimate opportunity, why not focus on the market, product, or service instead of people reveling in conspicuous greed and materialism?"

The distraction is needed because unbridled greed suspends good judgment. When the eyes gloss over in a materialistic glaze, common sense is a stranger.

in most MLMs you will have no choice. You are going to have to sit through meeting after meeting after meeting after meeting. You are going to be "motivated" to coerce your friends and family to hear "the pitch." This is the way the "dream" is planted and fertilized. Get used to it.

If you are a materialist, you only have to get over the painfully obvious greedy appearance of the presentation. But if you do not wish to promote such ideas, if you consider them sinful, then this puts you at the focal point of a moral dilemma. Do you wish to be a salesperson for materialism?

Pride plays a role in the ethics of MLM's. "Mr. Prospect, now you aren't required to buy more than three product units, but why bother joining unless you plan to succeed? Besides, all of our products are 100% money back guaranteed."

"Hmmm... To ask for a refund, then, is to admit defeat. Others appear to be doing O.K. at this. I'm no failure! Perhaps I should go to another motivational seminar or strong-arm and alienate one more friend to join. I wasn't fooled! I'm no failure!"

So, the "inventory" and "recruitment kits," never viable, collect dust. They become a pile in the back closet or attic, a trophy to pride being unable to admit that greed seized the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  51. A few large MLMs have survived despite the best efforts of law enforcement officials to shut them down. The MLM's spend millions of dollars to protect, lobby, and insulate themselves. But the same could be said for any organized crime. It is difficult to stop once it becomes so large.

And MLMs look so legitimate to the public, so decent. So many nice people are involved. Surely, it can't be illegal! The people lower down may even defend the very organization that is robbing them, hoping that they might get their chance to make "the big money" later.

But if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it probably is a duck. Unless it is an MLM, and then it is NOT a pyramid.

The Feds generally see it differently... when the ML (multi-level) aspect begins to eclipse the M (marketing) of products or services.

People can make money in an MLM, undeniably. The moral issue is: Where is the money coming from? Selling product? Then why not sell the same product in the "real world"?

    ReplyDelete
  52. But everyone knows that the real incentive is the pyramid aspect, and the product just the excuse to make it legal, or at least the MLM promoter would like you to believe it is legal.

Regardless of all the vehement denials, MLMs are all to some extent pyramid schemes, and pyramid schemes are illegal. Sure, some are "getting away with it," but so did the Mafia for decades. It is hard to stop a juggernaut, especially one that has taken such pains to look legitimate and misunderstood, that is highly organized, and that has so much money from its victims to propagandize, lobby, and defend itself. And so the exploitation goes on.

If these guys show up in your neighborhood, you are either "in" or "out," family or target, friend or foe. Suspicion rules the day; everyone has an "angle"; greed supplants innocence. The "neighborhood" is turned into a marketplace, and may never recover from the blow.

The ethical questions remain: Are MLMs a morally acceptable way to make money? Are they--and will they continue to be--legitimate?

Also you should ask yourself these questions...

Do I want to be involved in encouraging people to be more materialistic?

Do I want to sell a product that perhaps couldn't be sold any other way?

Do I want to be a part of an enterprise famous for slander, libel, and rumor?
Do I want to be a part of a company that may employ criminals as marketing experts?
Do I want to make money off my ability to convince people that an unworkable marketing system is viable?

Do I want to be known among my friends and family as a person who tried to con people with a thinly veiled pyramid scheme?

Do I want to push friends and family to buy expensive products, whether they are good or not, that they may not want or need, and for which less expensive alternatives are readily available?

MLMs grow by exploiting people's relationships. If you are going to be in an MLM, you must accept that selling to your friends, neighbors and family is part of "building your business." The MLM's call this "networking." But to those not "in" the MLM, it seems as if the friendship is being abuses or used merely a pretext for selling. There is no compromise here, try as you might.

While this is the most difficult point to make, it is perhaps the most important. Anyone who has any experience with an MLM has strong feelings, either for or against, and this is the problem. Polarization runs deep.

or most people, thankfully, the MLM experience usually ends in very quick financial failure and is then sidelined. Two possible responses are: 1) being embarrassed about participation, or 2) becoming even more intractable when the MLM has failed. You will find the latter chasing after the latest "get rich quick" scheme with similar results. "If we could have just sponsored so and so--they have so many friends--we would have made it."

Thus, there is reason for the "bad taste" most people have for MLMs. By instinct if not experience or insight, we wince at the thought of what we know will follow in the wake of an MLM. Relationships strained, factions formed, deception, manipulation, greed, loss, a closet full of videotapes, brochures, and useless inventory that "everybody wants."

Business failure of any type is traumatic on the relationships involved, but in most small businesses there is at least the chance of success. And this is never the case in an MLM, unless "success" can be defined as profiting off of the failures of others.

Organo Gold is a classic MLM. Now Im not saying that you cannot make money of this, because you probably can. However most legit business do not follow these business models. Hopefully what I have said helped. If it has not good luck and I would love to hear how it goes!!

  58. Organo Gold Coffee Enema's! Now it's a party!2/08/2011

The use of coffee in enemas for detoxification purposes is well known. It is a common herbalogical remedy that has been suggested by holistic and alternative medicine professionals for many years.

    Why Coffee Enema Cleansing Works

The effects of a coffee enema are different than a saline enema. The most important difference between a saline enema and a coffee enema is the presence of caffeine in the coffee. Caffeine, theophylline and theobromine, combine to stimulate the relaxation of smooth muscles causing dilatation of blood vessels and bile ducts. The effects of having a coffee enema are not the same as drinking coffee. The veins of the anus are very close to the surface of the tissue. The caffeine is therefore absorbed more quickly (and in higher concentration) than it is in when coffee is drunk.

  59. Organo Gold Coffee Enema's! Now it's a party!2/08/2011

Benefits of Enemas and Colonics with Coffee

Enemas and Colonics have been used for hundreds of years, and are generally regarded as safe. Additionally, coffee cleansing enemas have a chemical makeup that is stimulative. The enzymes in coffee, known as palmitates, help the liver carry away the toxins in bile acid. The coffee is absorbed into the hemorrhoidal vein, then taken up to the liver by the portal vein. With the bile ducts dilated, bile carries toxins away to the gastro-intestinal tract. Simultaneously, peristaltic activity is encouraged because of the flooding of the lower colon. Thus, when the colon is evacuated, the toxins and bile are carried out of the body.

Enema and Colonic Supplies and kits

You will need to buy a re-usable enema kit. Enema products are available at most pharmacies. They are usually disposable (although they can be cleaned and reused for several months) and they are inexpensive.
    Distilled water.
Organic coffee, any roasting level will do.
    French Press pot.

  60. Organo Gold Coffee Enema's! Now it's a party!2/08/2011

    Coffee Enema Recipe

Bring 8 cups of water to a boil.
Grind eight heaping spoonfuls of organic coffee. Put it in a french press pot. You can use a drip coffee maker, but be sure to use organic, non-bleached coffee filters.
Pour the water over the coffee grounds and let it steep then cool for one hour or more.
After this amount of time, the liquid should be about body temperature. If you stick your finger in the water it should be lukewarm or cool, but not hot.
Press the coffee grounds to the bottom, then pour the coffee liquid into the enema bag.
Never utilize flavored coffee, sweetened coffee, or coffee with milk (cafe au lait) for this purpose. The use of coffee in a colonic, enema, or suppository will result in clensing alongside a heightened sense of well being, pleasure, and a release of toxins.

For those who are looking to build their dream will do what wise people do - they will seek their own opinion based on facts and obtain advice from successful people who have gone before them.

You do not have to or need to convince people of anything.

For those who are honestly seeking answers are willing to do what it takes will attend a FREE coffee tasting to determine if they enjoy the product and how it makes them feel.

Come prepared with an open mind and determine if it makes sense

They will seek out leaders and doers to determine what level of success they have had and if it can work for them.

They will do their own due diligence on the product and the company. (From reliable sources and not heresay and negative individuals)

They will decide if they are willing to do what it takes to succeed.

Then they will make a decision.

Business is not for everyone. Most fail, but those who succeed, succeed big! No matter what the venture.

Best of success to all those who are pursuing a better quality of life -

Organo Gold needs to give you reps a lesson in business... This chick is trying to sell her coffee on a "is it or is it not a scam blog"

On this site I have read and learned:

Organo gold will have you driving a range in 18 months

Organo gold reps like to suck D*****

Orango gold reps sleep with customers while licking latte's off their bodies.. to which the rep said, "It's good to see if I have some fans."

One woman wrote a story on how a woman offered to suck a man's d to buy some Orango Gold.

Lets not forget the use of slurs on this site.. I have heard everything from "Real Niggas drink Organo Gold" to " Orango Gold targets Black People and Spanish people and some that just came off the boat."

So what I have gotten is Orango Gold is about: Swearing, Niggas, sucking D*****, they annoy people to no end, and trying to rob people blind to make a profit.

Dcandella this is not the place to be marketing your product. Did you even read the blog???

Does Orango Gold do background checks?

I went to one of these coffee mixers...

sampled the coffee and while good, the price was a bit steep. Also it was instant coffee...

I told the couple thank-you and was on my way out the door when the wife said to me,

"Poor people think small. Rich people think big."

    I turned around and said

    " I beg your pardon?"

" I guess you like being the middle person huh?"

" Thats fine, my husband and I have big goals for ourselves. Good Luck to you."

I shook my head and went to my car.

Needless to say I found out today that the couple foreclosed on their home and are going through a nasty divorce. Both of them had quit their jobs to do this company.

As for me, Im happy being the middle man with a job I love and a family I cannot live without.

My advice... don't quit your day job.

Materialism and greed are universally condemned by every major religion, and even by most of the nonreligious.

I was involved in Organo Gold and it is indeed a scam and a pyramid scheme. However the racist undertones of many of the comments on the site takes away from the goal of the blog.

It sounds like the blog and the comments are written by a White dude who buys into a strong stereotype that blacks are thugs and suckers for get rich schemes. The tone is extremely condescending and people pick up on it easily

It is good that people are being warned against the evils of this product but the creator of the site is going about it the wrong way.

Also the fact that most of the comments that are anti-Organo Gold are written by the same person (this is extremely clear based on the writing style, choice of words and syntax), it also weakens the message.

This will inadvertently cause people who would otherwise pay heed to the warnings to disregard them - which would defeat the purpose of the site.

You would be better served by sticking to the facts and limiting the racist remarks and personal attacks.

I am a Ruby in OG after just 3 months. I can't see something that is working so well for me, health wise and financially, as a scam. I am in a position where my car notes are about to be paid off as well as my credit cards. How am I being scammed if I'm getting great results from the Ganoderma, and if my paychecks (which come every tuesday or wednesday) are for real. I work this business as a team with my downline as well as my upline. I've recieved everything I was promised from OG and my upline. Constant training. Weekly paychecks. Health benefits from the Ganoderma . It's true, most fail MLM, no matter what company or product. But systems don't fail people. People fail the systems. I had zero MLM experience 4 months ago....and now my life has turned completely around in the positive direction. And all I did to achieve this level was follow the system.

I see some of your points and understand how you feel you were scammed...but if OG was good for someone like me with no experience then how bad could it really be.

And NO..OG is not dispanding. On pace to make near 200 mill this year. OG will HOWEVER be like ACN soon. Too much growth..too quickly. Those that get in OG 3 to 4 years from now will have an even harder time.

So sorry you feel scammed guys...good luck in any ventures you choose. Be it traditional or MLM. I hope you all find what you are looking for.

If a new company is failing you wont find scam blogs like this. Why? Because they arent doing jack yet! So, people who make blogs like this don't waste their time.

However, when a company is actually DOING something....BINGO..here comes this scam blog...here comes that scam blog....left and right! Why? Because they are actually doing something and are successful

I noticed that Sergio knows how to extensively quote the supposed success of others, but where's the proof of HIS "success?" He's been asked to provide proof of his earnings before in other venues, and all he could offer was name-calling and insults. It appears that this venue is no different.

I'd think that if someone was truly confident of their MLM's ability to bring in actual income, they'd eagerly and willingly provide their numbers for all to see. A failure to do so must mean that the racket's not paying like it should, eh?

Well, I must say I'm glad to see fellow Organo Gold consultants speaking up against such ignorance on this blog. Not one of us have to prove to anyone who doesn't BELIEVE! There will continue to be testimony after testimony!I thank GOD that I don't have to pour hundreds of thousands before seeing the money in a home based business that has the ancient Chinese secret!(4,000 years of proof, do your research people) I see and feel the difference in my body since using this King of Herbs!
GANADERMA will heal the world simply because it's time the real drug dealers get SHUT DOWN!!!!! Western Doctors along with Pharmaceutical companies that give you more side affects than the sickness your dealing with daily.
Doctors told me I had MS Dec.2008 only to find out because I didn't let his word be the final word over me I DON'T HAVE IT!!!!I did my home work. To be apart of a movement that believes in "Bring the treasures of the Earth to the People of the World."
Each cup of Organo Gold coffee has more than 200 vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to help KEEP us healthy. Just think since they have acknowledged that Marijuana has medicinal properties. Ganaderma is "The Miraculous King of Herb!" Wait till you see and feel the difference for yourself.
I was uncomfortable with the use Marijuana since I was 42 and never associated with street drugs as it was ONLY know for that bad astigmatism. My Chiropractor did acupuncture on me for awhile and suggested I see how Marijuana help with my spasms, insomnia and nerves . Since using Ganaderma I don't need weed. I have had a great nights sleep that I haven't had in SEVERAL years!I am able to run with my dog, my AD/HD is fading. I can read longer and remember sooner! Stress tried to kill me but my GOD is an AWESOME GOD and he's healing his people.
Your blog attacks the minorities as if they are sucka's! Let me tell you what scripture says" The last will be first and the first will be last!" Looks like it's their turn to get apart of the American dream!!!!! Because Racism and modern slavery still exist in America the minorities would always be slaves. This will be the way we overcome and overstand the enemy.Stop trying to steal our joy you can't have it. Obviously your NOT a child of GOD or simply a hater because you didn't work the business properly. Wow. Heated discussion. I can see both sides. I've participated in some MLM business before, made a little money. I can understand how it can be perceived to be a scam. However, at the end of the day if you can sell and you are a marketing whiz, you're bound to make some money in whatever industry you choose. OrganoGold is just another vehicle to get to the end result.

For some money may be the end result that they are seeking, but the freedom to create your own schedule, market in the way you choose to market, and have the sky as your limit. That's where I find the real value in any program like this.

True indeed, it may be wrong for the representatives of the company to sell images of what people deem as success, but that's what's going to get someone's attention. That's what's going to get someone motivated to try something different.

I'm not apart of the company and I was presented the opportunity and I passed on it. But I don't think it calls for some of the negative comments and conversations that are featured on this site.

    Peace & Blessings

I would like to explain how these companies work , because it's obvious that most people have little knowledge or experience .

My wife has been involved with 40-50 MLM companies during the past 25 years . I have been to hundreds of meetings with her . It's true that 90% of the people never make a dime .

She has received some monthly checks from a few of the companies of nearly $4,000 . However , the checks usually never lasted more than a year because of either loss of sales or changes to their business structure .

Most people do not put in enough effort and fail. Some people do work hard and make some money from these companies and a tiny fraction do become millionaires .

I have seen some horrible companies that are basically scams , but this is not one of them.

The coffee takes good and we also have purchased this type of coffee from other companies .

As one commenter noted , these MLM's are not really business franchises . People are working in a corporate like structure . Many are fooled to believe otherwise because they don't punch a time card or track working days.

    For example:

    CEO
    VP
    Board of Executives
    Supervisors
    Mangers
    Junior Managers
    Sales Reps
    Trainees .

These titles are often replaced by names of precious stones or metals . Gold , Silver , Diamond , Ruby .

I haven't even joined OrganoGold...but seriously...alot of people totally missing some facts...

    1. Not all coffee sold by OG is 5.00 a cup...as a matter of fact...it seems the majority retail at around 1.00-1.50 a cup. Which...makes it less than Starbucks. Period.

    http://www.organocoffeecompany.com/buyonline.htm

    2. I don't believe anyone here has pointed out the fact that the biggest brand in the world...Starbucks...has been selling "instant" coffee for over 1 year. So continually stating that its "instant" coffee...means you consider one of the largest brands in the world to be stupid because they sell "instant" coffee...I'm just sayin!

First of all, I see both points of view. I have to ask the people who say that it isn't a business a question. Is owning a franchise a business? A successful franchise that one buys into isn't the person's idea and makes the corporate entity money. I agree that MLM companies often sell dreams and that paying enormous amounts of money for trainings and seminars is ridiculous, but why can't a level headed person with realistic goals be successful and make some money doing this business. The actually fee for being a distributor is actually only $49. As far as people selling you unnecessary gold packages go, may industries do the same thing. Auto insurance companies try and sell you more coverage than you need. Don't get me started on mortgage companies. I'm not even a big MLM person and will be the first to say that many use get rich quick mindset to run their business which is something I'm against, but let's be real. Many doctors, lawyers, and CEO's work hard to be these things with the expectation of the car and house. Let's be real and have real discussions is all I'm saying. You can find crazy people anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Anonymous7/13/2011

You only get small "samples" with the $49 kit. Organo Gold never asks its distributors to sell a $49 pack, because they dont make any money that way. They are always marketing the Gold pack for people "serious" about their so called businesses.

It most definitely is a business for the people at the top who are profiting, while those at the bottom are continuously shelling out dough in order to chase a dream.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Anonymous7/15/2011

Isn't working definitely for people at the top as well? Isn't the problem that people aren't using business sense to run there business the right way. People shell out dough to buy homes, fix them up, and sell them to chase a dream and fail all the time. Any business you start can fail. True there are people who prey on people and get them to spend unnecessary amounts of money, but if you business savy and don't allow people to tell you anything then why can't you profit the honest way? My issue isn't to say MLM business don't have issues, I'm saying that why isn't it a real business. Franchises basically do the same except only the parent company can sell out franchises. What about realtors and their broker. Let talk facts instead of horror stories and/or success stories. Let's have an honest talk. I'm sick of the extreme rhetoric.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Anonymous7/16/2011

Anyone who joins an MLM definitely isn't business savvy. Unless you are, of course, Bernie Chua, Shane Morand, or Holton Buggs...people at the top. Those are business savvy men ;)

MLMs are businesses. Any scam can be a business. It's just shady business, ya know?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Anonymous7/20/2011

You keep avoiding the question about MLM businesses being like franchises. Do you consider franchises a scam? A franchise usually requires you to meet a minumim to stay active. Plus they usually profit from you ordering new products from them. How is that any different from MLM businesses. In Mary Kay you can sell product for profit and what is wrong with that? How is that a scam? Based on the rationale I see on this blog, All franchise type businesses are SCAMS. So then your saying anyone who buys into a franchise like Subway, McDonalds, etc are shady businessess as well. I know someone who owns one and they have expressed refustration with some of the requirements.

I just left Organo Gold after a year of working with the company. This OG is truly a
    scam.

Why does it work for some people?

Well for claims of health benifits you can go buy the King of herbs directly from your local health food store at a fraction of the price that you buy the coffee.

For claims of finacial prosperity. I have no doubt many have and will prosper from OG.
If your definition of success is pumping all of your friends and family full of over priced coffee so that you can have more stuff ; then yes, you have been successful.

Get Ganoderma from the health store!
Stop giving Organo Gold your money and taking
advantage of your personal relationships for
    personal " prosperity ."

The following statement is flawed in so many ways.

?"Get Ganoderma from the health store!
Stop giving Organo Gold your money and taking
advantage of your personal relationships for
    personal " prosperity ." "?

How many people didn't even know about Ganoderma? Why not say "don't get carrots from a grocery store, just grow your own?" We give people money all the time for products that we want to purchase.

The author of this statement must also not realize that business is always about building and maintaining relationships. How many people have gotten jobs because they knew someone.

Let's be real. The only issue with MLM is the people who take advantage of others in the process. You must not blindly follow another man or women because of there monetary wealth.

Let me tell you something and I was the same with Holton, we both were in many various MLM that FAILED because 1), the leadership wasn't what it should be, 2) the product isn't a DAILY CONSTANT CONSUMABLE in all those other things we've been in, 3) Those comapnies failed not because of him but because those past companies don't have lasting or STAYING POWER, it's called "basic business 101" IF YOU DON'T HAVE STAYING POWER, YOU'RE NOT GROWING, YOUR COMPAPNY WILL DIE TOO, that's why. So don't go off saying something like "stay away from Holton" when you know nothing about him, his life or personal struggle. Wow! It's amazing what people with a broke mind and a broke pocket will say. I can tell by the some of the above post, that most of you are uneducated about what a pyramid scheme is. Because life has kicked your but and you can't see success for yourself, you get mad and say nasty things about those that do. Every sorry job you've had is a pyramid, but I guarantee you're not at the top of it. Bill Gate's family didn't believe in him either. Who got the last laugh on that one. As far as Mr. Buggs, do you have his money? Are you saying stupid things about Donald Trump? He's had companies that went under too. Bet you would still join his company though. Then again, most of you wouln't. See broke people like to stay broke and want everyone around them to stay like them. Miserable! If not, who would listen to them. It's funny how people always complain about how negative people are and nothing positive is going on. That's a lie. OG's meetings are always positive. Because they get you to dream about what you want, doesn't mean it's a scam. It simply means you don't see yourself as anything more than what you are now. That's too bad. IT'S OK TO BE RICH!! Few facts for the ignorant: No one makes you have an autoship. Every business owner has overhead, your autoship is yours. Big, small or 0.; your choice. No one makes you pay for training. I run a weekly meeting that requires payment for the place. Travel? Well that's up to you too. If you don't want to go, DON'T! All these things are called BUSINESS EXPENSES!! SAY IT WITH ME; BUSINESS EXPENSES! Business minded people no this. Well, I guess we'll get the last laugh. As for the comment right above me; I hope you're friend didn't listen to you or she may end up broke like you. People, think about where and who you get your advice from. Your pocket look like the 5 closest people to you. Hope you're not broke. SMILE! 1%

  131. I was recently at an Organo Gold seminar and I learned extremely valuable information. I saw Sergio on stage receiving an award for moving up in the company and he moved up quickly. People who speak on things about which they don't have true knowledge of are stupid.

I agree with Francine. To open up a franchise can cost anywhere between $50, 000 to $100, 000 plus. Then you have to recruit/hire people who could quit at any moment. No residuals there! Also, the expenses! Wow! I own my business and the expenses are crazy. I can do the same thing with Organo Gold and spend less money. You people are consumers and not entrepreneurs plain and simple. How many of the above own businesses? You keep saying pyramid, pyramid, pyramid, but pyramid structures are everywhere. Whether you are at the top or bottom, you are still part of a pyramid. Military, non-profit, government, and etc. are all pyramids! Stop being so negative and scared of success! If you don't take charge you will NEVER move up the "ladder". It isn't a ladder if you can't go up!

It is okay to have your negative opinion, but spreading it to others is where you create a problem. If Organo Gold is a scheme and you are so hell bent on proving it, then why don't you join, try it, fail because you didn't try, then you can tell people what is a scheme!

  135. Any one who believes that network marketing is about getting rich quick and getting something for nothing is a fool and will never make a dime. Any one who believes that network marketing, like any Job, is about getting something for something, then that person is ready to get to work and get out there and earn their money. Anyone who thinks just because they get up and go to an actual building to do their job is doing anything different than network marketing has bought into the lie that there is only one way to become successfull. Unless you own that company you are just a person in the downline of that company. check out the hierarchy from your CEO down. You don't think his check is bigger than yours? do you think he or she would be getting that check if it were not for you busting your hump? And you don't think you are going to get a pink slip if he decides you are expendable? Would you prefer that people try to do something or would you prefer they sit home on Mom and Dad's couch and collect a free check from welfare or unemployment? If you'd stop making network marketing just about you, and realize most people are just trying to make an honest living just like you but from a different perspective maybe you wouldn't be so harsh. Because if that same person was pushing a product you liked, like starbucks, peetes, mcdonalds, you'd be lining up like the addicts most of us are for the products that WE LIKE. I believe that people need to calm down a bit in their sales approach. But if people who don't want to be part of it say "No" when they mean "No" instead of "yes" when they mean "NO" that person wouldn't call you back. BE MEAN THEN. and not try to sugarcoat everything and pretend you are nice and then come on the computer and bash them. come on now... people will say the darndest things. Here is the sad thing- it is market saturation. So you get in early and make your money anddo well.Life is good and the incentive is to bring more people in to enjoy the wealth. So you put the word out to share the wealth with friends, family , neighbors, strangers etc.You have made your money but as it begins to dry up all of those folks you sold on joining make little or no money-some actually lose money. This is nothing new , but in a way it is preying on people in hard times to make money. That is the theme more than the product. And bringing more people into the fold does seem to be the main theme from everything I have I read. Results are that the people on top get wealthy those further down do not.It is just plain sad .

  140. I got introduce to Organo Gold because of a friend, but I never signed up. You have to spend hundreds of dollars or even thousands to make it big. I have to admit that I drink coffee and I'm a Starbucks person. The first time I've tried Organo Gold, it's like "is this really coffee?" I can't even taste the coffee part. Hahaha. Organo Gold is just starting and a start-up biz, it's only good in the beginning but we'll see after 10 years. Give it a year or two, and I'm sure it's going to flop too.

You DUMB haters need to shut the hell up!!! Has Herbalife crashed??? Has Melalleuca crashed??? What about GNLD or Visalus??? They are ALL still alive and well!!!! EVERY BUSINESS IS A PYRAMID. Look at the hierachy set up. At least Network Marketing gives u unlimited income potential! What does a job get u?? Laid off when there's a "recession"??? Or makes u work ur ass off only to get bombarded with taxes from your salary??? I will never fully defend any network marketing company because ur never sure of the master plan...just like u don't know when ur boss might decide to close down his business or sell it but one thing i can defend is the POWER OF NETWORK MARKETING!!! U idiots talkin about pyramid scheme should do some research! Damn Mental SLAVES!!! The reason it's so hard for u to grasp the idea of building wealth really fast is that u were brainwashed to think u have to work HARD for everything rather than working SMART! U were taugh to spend 20 years of your life in school and te other 40 years being a slave! You only get a raise or promotion when the boss feels like it. My mother is in Organo Gold and it seems to be fine but I know for a fact some of them are designed for the top 3% to make most of the money while the other 97% struggles, but that's not because there's anything wrong with Network Marketing, it's because of the most common habit of traditional business...greed. Businesses have always been designed for "The Man" to have all the money so if this is the problem u have then quit ur job because ur hard work is making someone else richer and richer while u set ur body up for terminal illnesses - Spending ur health to gain wealth, then having to spend that wealth to regain health. I suggest u haters stop and think how u can take advantage of the network marketing business model because it is no doubt the business of the future! I hate ignorant ramblings. If hollywood paid u everytime u recommended one of it's films then that would be exactly what netwrok marketing is...simple referral bonuses based on sales. It's like a sales rep job without having to force people to buy stuff they don't really want. A great network marketing company sells quality products that people buy everyday anyway, thus Organo Gold targeted the coffee industry. and improved regular coffee. Caffeine is not good for the body because it's acidic. Ganoderma is a powerful herb that gives much of the benefits of caffeine (energy etc.) without the poisonous and addictive properties. Business in general is about coming up with solutions. This is a good solution...making coffee healthy. If someone made cigarettes healthy they could easily start a business. The electric cigarettes for example. You get the nicotine fix without 4000+ chemicals and actual smoke that WILL eventually kill u or at least make u very unhealthy...strangely the FDA has allowed cigarettes but refuse to pass e-cigarettes...why??? Simple...The smoking industry is one of the largest industries ever and if they allowed e-cigarettes, it would mean less profits from people getting addicted to them, even though they know it's killing people. Ever wonder why weed (marijuana) is illegal? Did you know that it is legal to smoke it in Amsterdam but illegal to sell it? Can it get any more obvious than that??? It's simple...anyone can grow weed in their backyard so that's less profit for "the system" so they make it illegal. That's business! Wake up!!! Most Network Marketing companies bring healthier alternatives. All this fast food and poisonous snacks and alcohol is out there helping to kill us and we ignore it, yet we take the time out to bash a business model that seeks to give the average person the opportunity to build wealth for themselves and their family while living healthier. People need to understand things before they ramble all this nonsense about MLMs. There are scams in EVERY industry! Wake up!!!

You are right with many statements you made. Herbalife I think is pretty good and many products out there are great. I have tried some. My mother is the one who told me of this coffee. It taste good and my mom has been feeling good and looking good. She has high blood pressure and is diabetic and speaks highly of the coffee. Anna

Something is only a Scam when you are given a promise that isn't given to u. Organo Gold does not make promises and there are terms and conditions that you owe it to yourself to carefully read and understand before you jump at something. Network Marketing businesses do take advantage of peoples' natural ability to jump at something that looks like quick, easy money. How many of you actually read the fine prints before you join a business??? Yeah. That's exactly what I thought! Network Marketing often uses potential income to lure people in...it's a marketing strategy just like all the good stuff about a Burger on a TV ad...but never the bad stuff. You should do you due diligence to research and read carefully before you jump at anything...ESPECIALLY BUSINESS! More than anything else, u should be thankful that it doesn't cost anywhere near as much to start a Network Marketing Business as it does a traditional business. Learn that any business is business...SERIOUS BUSINESS! It takes time and effort and dedication. It's just that you determine how well you do by your attitude to it. This blog was written by someone who probably expected a pot of gold to come running after them when they signed up. This is what set you up for this major disappointment. Business is not easy if u don't understand the fundamentals of it. Learn how to market yourself and your business, learn how to receive rejection, learn how to sell, learn how to deal with different kinds of people. I guess now you see what the receptionist has to deal with at the front desk of your workplace and the tasks of the Marketing, Promotions and Sales Departments. It takes patience. One traditional business rule states that a traditional business sees NO profits until after 5 years, yet we want to see $3000 checks within a month with very little work. The problem is that most of us are not fully aware of what we are getting into when we join Network Marketing so we end up feeling cheated. It's NOT a scam! I hope I shed some light in your darkness. Blessings!

To the person that said the coffee was nasty. You must like the cheap stuff. I am not even in Organo Gold but I buy the coffee it tastes great. It does not have that watered down taste that most people like. For the exotic coffee drinker this coffee is a must try.

I started taking organogold coffee three weeks ago, and I have had to cut my insulin intake in half. If you don't have diabetes, you don't know how huge that is. I have cousin who has taken the ganoderma for 6 mos. and his doctor has taken him off all of his meds. So if I ever recommend this, or even if I choose to sell it, it will be because of what it has done for me and what I hope it may do to others. Peace.

A few years ago 2002 the A.G. of the U.S. filled injunctions Against several companies (mlm). It was supposed to change the way network marking companies did their marketing or what they call best practices.
    1. A company can not promote a whole sale buying club.
    2. A I.B.O. must have the same compensation Plan as every one, same chance for promotion. (can't be able to buy your way top level)
    3. MUST NOT PROMOTE FRIENDS AND FAMILY OR WHOLESALE BUYING.
    4. MUST ESTABLISHED RETAIL CUSTOMERS FIRST!
    5. MUST NOT PROMOTE OUTLANDISH CLAIMS FOR SHOCK AND AWE.
    6. MUST NOT EVER PROMOTE BUYING MASS QUANTITIES OF PRODUCT (WAREHOUSING) AS A SIGN OF BUSINESS READINESS
NOW at one time you could enter a mlm free or small sign up and the product auto ship was independent from the business side

Let me ask you this. What's the difference between Organo Gold, or Starbucks, or Walmart, or Gucci, or la fitness, or all the companies out there that take your money and make you feel like you need to work for them or consume their products. The difference is with Organo gold there is an opportunity to create wealth for yourself. No company is perfect but you guys are acting like Organo Gold is doing something so terrible to the people. People make conscious decisions to invest. Some do very well and others don't. And there's nothing wrong with wanting nice things. You're a damn liar if you say you wouldn't mind having a huge home and a Benz in the garage! It doesn't make you materialistic! Come on, some of these comments are pure bullshit. So I guess you'd rather work for a company and plan for a retirement with no social security for the next 20 years! People believe there's more. Let them. Do you and let them do them!

It's quite simple really, you either follow THE PROVEN SYSTEM we have, or don't do it at all, I have great success with this company unlike any other and truest me, you name the companies, I've damn near done them all, IT'S COFFEE, not that hard to figure out. Don't step on someone else because you failed at it, you know nothing about this and you've misconstrued anything and everything there is about this company. Rod Smith 2x Denver Bronco's Superbowl NFL player is doing this, he already has 8Million in the bank and doesn't need this business, he's doing this to help other people be financially well off. Because you don't believe this company doesn't give you a right to slander on your little blog. Of course then everyone is entitled to their opinion and entitled to their choice to be broke. I guess you're one of them then.
It's a business, treat it like one and you'll get paid well, treat it like a hobby and don't do the work, then it won't happen if you don't have a reason why you do it. This whole country was built on NETWORK MARKETING even before there was that "Label Word" for it. "Oh no it's a pyramid" EVERYTHING IS A PYRAMID, look on the back of your $1 Bill buddy, there's a boss, his/her CFOs managers and everyone below the CEO, the only difference is, you get paid without all the corporate backstabbing, office politics and all that other mess. If you have the guff to think about what me and everyone else has to say, then come @ me with an open mind @ steamlocomotive@sbcglobal.net better yet check out the latest Success from Home Magazine and read the stories, their whole issue was dedicated in march to Organo Gold so look through that for a change. All I hear from your little blog are excuses why you ultimately weren't willing to put the work in and succeed. You can get mad if you like, but no one said the truth wasn't gonna hurt

  153. I'm a distributor for Organo Gold and I want to start off by apologizing for my fellow brothers and sisters in Organo Gold. Anger is never the way to go. Instead I will say that anyone that joins any mlm, traditional business, or franchise should do your due diligence. If you think it's for you, great, if it's not for you, that's fine too. There are some basic things that people should understand about mlm:

    1. It's not get rich quick. The truth of the matter is you really have to put work in to get the income your looking for. People should not use hype when recruiting, use reality to manage expectations.

    2. Mlm has such a high failure rate because people think it's get rich quick and that everyone will see the value that you do. The truth is that initially 10% of the people you talk to will see the value. Of the people that join your team only 33% will stay active. Of the people who stay active about 20% will follow the system however well you follow the system. People have a hard time coming to terms with the averages and quit.

    3. Your friends and family are not your prospects! I used my friends and family to try the coffee, for free, because I'm not a coffee drinker. I also asked them to allow me to practice the presentation and prospecting questions on them in order to get me brave enough for the cold market, which is where your prospects lie. Most of my family who tried the products are customers because they asked me if they could buy it from me because they liked how it made them feel. I have a few relatives that do the business as well, but they decided that on their own after seeing the corporate presentation. They weren't asked by me to join when I presented because I only cared about them critiqueing me, that was all.

    4. Have fun! Your CJM shouldn't be based in materialism, it should be based in having a fun atmosphere, sharing some coffee and some conversation. The whole conversation shouldn't be about Organo Gold either! Actually have an enjoyable conversation. Do the presentation briefly, collect their decision, and accept their decision. Take advantage of the opportunity to connect socially regardless of if they do the business or not.

If you have fun with the experience, allow people to make their own decisions, don't pressure or harass them, you will still make money. The only difference is that your family and friends will take your calls because your not harassing them about your business everytime you talk to them and you will have new friends both in the business and outside of the business. This is important because the business friends you can talk OG about and the non-business friends you can talk life about, which will keep you well rounded and balanced.

If your interested in having a good conversation whether it's related to OG or not e-mail me at healthfromheavencoffee@gmail.com.

Everyone be blessed and be well,
    Terrence

Okay, so my friend invited me over for a mixer. We go way back, so I bought in, just because of her. Nobody told me or her up front that you must get people under you right away or you lose a percentage of your commission...or that you and those under you have to monthly order or you lose...or that nobody I sampled the coffee to would like it. I even asked the guy that was the presenter jokingly if he was satan. He laughed. They, at another meeting, eventually told me that if I could just get somebody signed up, the new recruit might do what they had to out of fear of losing their investment money. They had used that tactic and it had worked. Excuse me? Fear? I took issue with that and spoke up that I felt that it was wrong to treat people like that. I have not heard from anyone, including my friend since then. I have alot of coffee in my closet. Any takers?

Just wondering if these people think Arbonne, Avon, Mary Kay, and other businesses like this are scams or pyramid schemes? I am not an OG consumer or distributor/sales person (not sure what they call themselves), but I have read these posts and some are so entertaining, others are downright sad and rude. I work in Career Services with a four year university, and I am CERTAIN that the job market sucks - employers are looking for the 3.5 GPA and up. What happens to those who graduated with a 2.3? They still need to work. They still need a job. The fact of the matter is there are not enough jobs to meet the demand out there...just think there are over 3000 colleges and universities graduating students every year. How many "new" employees is that? Then you have to consider those "seasoned" employees who have been laid off and are looking for work. I don't know about the OG business, but I have heard of all the other opportunities available to people. I think it would be nice if people would encourage others instead of tearing them down. That's it.

I know there are plenty of scams out there, but not all MLM's are scams. Just like any business, you get out of it, what you put into it. What I find fascinating is that some individuals who responded on this site truly believe it's better to live in mediocrity and be a corporate robot for your entire life and hope you have enough money, live long enough, are healthy enough to even be able to retire at 60 or 65. That's SAD !!! Even if people don't do MLM, everyone should be trying to be more than what they are. Open a store, start a home business, an online business or something, but to settle for 40 hour/wk for 40 yrs and end up old and broke is pathetic. More power to you. Enjoy your miserable lives. Stay pessimistic, stay dream stealers, stay dreamless. I pity you. And just so you know, I started two businesses 2 years ago, a real estate investment company and an internet marketing co. I haven't dealt with a 9 to 5 in over 14 mos. and never will again. To all those with a dream, find your vehicle, find your niche and go for it. You only get one life to live, make it count.

  163. You people are just SAD.. so so sad...

And funny LOL, are you really telling me your life is so empty and lacking of meaning that you dedicate all your time to talk bad about a company because you just don´t get it or failed at trying? Let me tell you something, it was not because of the company, or the product, it was because of you, is obvious for what i read on most comments you are all loosers and you are happy with it, that´s fine, you want to go to a job 8 hours a day and get some miserable dollars? that´s fine, and what´s that about "it´s not your business, you are making rich to the owner"? Are you kiddin? Do you think we don´t know the owner is making more money than the reps? Get real! So you just want someone to come over and tell you "Hey, i was just looking for you, i just made this system, worked on this product and i want to hand it out for you... and FREE! And you don´t have to work a single day!, and everything is just simply happy and without problems at all!" COME ON!!! Are you trying to say that you are making more money than your boss in your regular job? LOL, let me tell you something, i am a rep in this company, doing good money, happy as i can be, i didn´t have to chase friends or family (some people like you just don´t get how to do business and which people is the right one) donating to charity and living a good life... Bernie Chua is making more money than me? Sure!, But trust me, i could never make as much money in a traditional job as i am doing now, no way! So i´m more than Happy that Bernie Chua is making that much money, he deserves it, is his idea and his company after all, and what you should do is just get a life and stop blaiming everything for your failure... Oh and by the way, all those comments of "SAVE YOURSELVES THE 1200 something dollars of the gold pack, run, save it, save it!" That´s just sad... and just shows how broke you are, c´mon, 1,000 something bucks? so sad... but well... i prefer to be happy and rich than grumpy and poor like you (and not necesarily talking about money) Have a happy life.. or well, in your case... a life at least...

LOL, what ALMOST means? another 3 years? another 10, another 20? Well, i like those numbers, i´ll probably be doing more money in one month than you are doing in a whole year, so... just have to invest wisely like i did by joining this awesome company... haters will be haters... and we love you ;) there most be sad angry and poor people so we look good being happy, wealthy and healthy ;) So thanks for doing our work easier and to the company greater, you are doing a great job!

Went to a surprise organo gold meeting last night. Maybe ambush is a better term. Instead of specifics, they lost me as soon as the standard "we go on vacation and have checks waiting when we get home" testimonials. As this was a friend of a friend, my wife decided to buy a box of hot chocolate for $30. That's 2 bucks a mug!!!! We tried it when we got home. Following the directions gave us a watery, tasteless brown liquid. Not interested in selling a product I don't like.

If you do the numbers and math, you'll see that it is not all it is cracked up to be. The way MLMs are designed, the people on top and the ones who get in at the beginning will make the most money. The good chunk of your consumers are going to be people you recruit to be a distributor. Its a never ending pyramid which leads to market saturation. There can be up to 9 persons above you making money off of what you sell. I don't like those numbers. If you look at the info on Organo Gold's website, you will see that they had 170 million in revenue with 400000 active distributors for 2012. If you do the math, you see that comes out to an average of $425 of sales per active distributor over 1 year! If you look at the income disclosure in the website, you'll see that a little over 80% of the distributors made only 0-$599 over the year... Those numbers are horrible. Less than 1% earn over $100,000.
